After White Sands we wanted to head over to Carlsbad Caverns. In my research it was about a 3 hour drive but I thought I should dig a little deeper about the route we would take. I’m glad I was able to find out a little more information because the fastest route involved going over a mountain pass....one not recommended for RVs. There is a different route that is about 15 minutes longer but it would take us to El Paso, east in Texas and back up to New Mexico. Brad wasn’t up for driving a long day so we decided to stop in El Paso.

Brad snapped this picture of the kids eating dinner peacefully together. This was a rare occasion but it does make us happy when it happens sometimes.
