Summer Beach Day

The kids have been begging to go to Papa Bob's house. I think the Nintendo Mario Kart is a big reason.   We decided to go down there since we knew it was a beautiful day and we invited our cousins to come.  Joe & Ellis and Dallas & Everett decided to join us.   We hiked down to saltwater Park and looked for crabs.   It is fun being around  younger kids and it was a great way to enjoy the sunshine.

Don't worry they played Mario Kart after they got back.

Father's Day

Our Father's Day was more mellow than it has ever been. Brad had a few requests...Starbucks, BLTA sandwich, baseball practice, BBQ and Butterfinger Blizzard. It was a great, relaxing day celebrating Brad. We are so thankful for all he does for our family.

5th Grade Memories

Over the past two years we have been participating in fundraisers to help raise money for 5th grade camp.   Since camp ended up not happening they used the money to buy class t-shirts and these fun signs commemorating their 5th grade year.   It still makes me cry looking at them.

It has been fun driving around the neighborhood and seeing all the signs.

Colt didn't want to make a sign so I made one for Mr.  Merrill and we used it during the wave through.

Wave-Through

The school organized a final wave-through to end the school year. I originally thought they were having a special one for the 5th graders but it ended up being an all school one.

Brad came home so we could pile Colt, Ollie, Darby & Bo in his jeep.

The kids made signs to share with their teachers.

Brody and I drove behind them in the mini van so Brody could get some video and pictures for me.

5th Grade Awards

What a crazy school year! Colt's 5th grade year was definitely the one with the most disappointment. He missed out on all the fun 5th grade activities including camp. The teachers did a fantastic job trying to make it special for them. Mr. Merrill dropped off a bag of treats for each student and a folder with some "Socky" awards. They had to keep it closed until their class zoom meeting.

I peeked in on some of it and watched as Colt received a few different awards.

"Mighty Mathematics Skills"
"Maximum Effort while Distance-Learning"
"Michigan Loyalty"
"Incredible Kindness"

We are proud of him for all these awards and the way he has handled the end of his elementary years.

Dresses and jumping

She was wearing her dress for Mother's Day but still has the urge to practice her epic jumps.

She's so lucky that she can pull off this style and still look like a boss.

Fishing Trip #2

Brad's 2nd fishing trip was one he has been on for the past few years. He left on Wednesday afternoon and came home Sunday evening.  He had a great time and it was even better because he won all 3 of the trophies.  It was the first time anyone has swept the competitions.  Brad was definitely happy when he came home.

Starbucks Date

Some evenings, while the kids are playing their video games we sneak off to get in a little Starbucks date. This time Brad decided he would be funny by pulling out all the necessary precautions.

Fishing Trip #1

Brad has already been on two fishing trips. The first one was a two day adventure near Moses Lake. He had a good time and caught some fish.
