Happy 16th Ollie!

We celebrated Ollie's 16th birthday with donuts, Chick-fil-a and Grilled Cheese for dinner. 

 

Ollie had a great birthday.  The next day he woke up and said I think birthdays should last week.  I agree!  Maybe even a month.

Issaquah Select

 Darby had her last practice with her Issaquah Select team.  She has been playing on this team since 4th grade.  It has changed a bit but we are thankful the last year ended so well. 

March Band Concert

Bo had his March band concert.   We love watching him play and are proud of him.  We aren't sure if he will be in band after this year so we remind ourselves this is such a fleeting moment. 

 

Chef Colt

Colt is in a culinary class this semester. He grumbles about it but I think he is learning some fun skills. One of his assignments is to make a dinner for the family. He decided (or I encouraged him) to make some salmon.  He also made some rice and broccoli to go with it. 

  

It was delicious! 

 

More Birthday fun!

We celebrated me and my mom's birthday but it was a few weeks after our birthday so we included Brad in the birthday celebration. It's always fun to celebrate our birthdays.

Brody is at school and Ollie had a conflict that I had forgotten about. 

 

IMS Basketball

We have loved watching Bo play for his middle school basketball team. We think they don't play him as much as they should but they do have a big roster so we are thankful he gets to play.  But more importantly he is having a fun time.  

 

Happy Birthday Brad!

We had fun celebrating Brad with birthday lunch at Grammy's place. 

 

In the evening we had some friends join us at Black Duck to celebrate his birthday. Fun times!

 

Brad's birthday dinner

We had to check our calendar to figure out how and when to celebrate Brad's birthday. We decided we would do a family dinner the night before. We wanted to go to our favorite sushi place but it was closed so we went to a new one that was yummy. 

 

 

 After dinner we came home, sang happy birthday and he opened his presents.

My birthday was a busy day but fortunately we were still able to go out for sushi to celebrate. 

 

I really am so thankful for another year I get to celebrate.    

 

Seahawks Parade

They had a big parade for my birthday. :) 

 

It took some convincing but Brad was able to join us. We also took Ellis, Darby & Bo. Ollie didn't want to miss school and Colt went to the parade with his friends. 

 

It was crazy!  A lot of standing around for about 15 minutes of the parade. Would we do it again?  If it's on my birthday and a beautiful day....absolutely.  

 

All other conditions....jury is still out.   

 

Park time

We had another beautiful day so I took the kids to Lake Sammamish State Park. They have trails, a playground and the beach. We explored the playground and the beach. It was so nice to be outside for so long.

We even had lunch outside in the sunshine.  

 

Troll

I took the kids to see the troll. It was great to get outside with them. Later in the day, Aubrie and Colt joined us at Meerwood Park. I rarely get to go there since my kids are so big so it was fun to be back there.
