Boogie Boards

Grammy bought the kids a bunch of different surprises. Boogie boards were the first surprise.

The water was cold but it didn't bother the kids. They had fun trying them out.

I love this video of Darby saying "Big, Giant Wave."

To the beach

Last week we left for the beach. Grammy & Fafa organized a trip for our families (Grammy, Fafa, Us, Brian, Angie, Abi & Andrew). Once again we had a fantastic time and cherish the memories we made with our family.

We arrived around dinner time and the kids could not wait to get out to the beach.  So after dinner we took a quick stroll to check out the waves.

Brad was working on some yoga poses.

Brody tried too.

After School Party

Our neighborhood has a tradition of a party in the park after the last day of school. We went this year and the kids had fun. Its a little bit of potluck but they also have pizza for $1.00 a slice. I didn't really know what to expect so the kids ended up getting their clothes all wet since we didn't bring swimsuits.  It will be so fun to do this every year especially as we get to know more families (and the little ones will be easier to manage).

On to 2nd!

Brody had his last day of 1st grade. The whole week before I kept asking him if he was sad. He asked why and I told him because he would never again be a 1st grader. I know I made it WAY more dramatic than it should be but it really makes me sad. (As Brad reminds me I get to go through this 4 more times. Lucky me!)

We are so proud of Brody.  He has had a great year in 1st grade, learning a lot, but most importantly, for us, being a great example to his classmates (and his siblings).

And at the beginning of the year Bo wasn't in this picture.

Colt & Ollie wanted pictures on their bikes.

When they got off the bus we sprayed them with silly string.  Another mom wrote "Summer" on the sidewalk and handed out popsicles.   These kids don't know how lucky they are because we certainly never had this much fan fare for the last day of school.   But it is such a fun tradition.

Potato Sacks & Water Balloons

For Father's Day we went to Vasa Park for the Swedish Midsommer festival. The weather wasn't quite as cooperative as we would have liked but we still had a fun day. The highlight for us are the kid races. My cameras (both regular and phone) weren't being cooperative so I got these pictures from Angie.

Brad & Brody teamed up for the water balloon toss.  They did an awesome job and won.  I was so proud of them.  Brad was my partner too but I failed miserably.

More pictures to come.

Grass Lawn Park

We had a free afternoon with nothing planned so we decided to take a family trip to Grasslawn Park. It's a great playground but it makes this momma a little nervous. The climbing structure is very high and although it is good for kids to test their limits it can be hard for me to watch.

I have more pictures and videos but this is what I have for now.

O Cheerio!

Cheerios are a new favorite in our house. Bo loves them and I do too, since it usually buys me a little extra time before I have to go into full feeding mode with him.

Brad snapped this adorable picture of Bo and his cheerio.

Cards and Photo Shoot

Brody made a few cards for Brad for father's day.

This one he made by himself, from his heart.

He made this one at school.

I tried to get a picture of Brad with all of his kids.

It didn't go so well and we have hopes of doing it again, but haven't yet.
