Another Whidbey Island Getaway

I got to go on another women's weekend with my soccer friends. I look forward to this every year. I just love hanging out with these ladies. We had plenty of laughs and made more memories of our time together.  I can't wait to go again.

Cynthia, LeAnn, Mandy, Cabryn, Nicole (with baby Oliver), Heather
Wendy, Jeannine, Me

We had a baby shower for Jeannine and played a non baby shower game, Heads Up.

It was a riot.

Darby's 1st real haircut

We were down at my parent's house so I asked Cameo to cut Darby's hair. She cut her hair a few months ago but hardly took anything off. I felt it was time to give Darby her first real hair cut. It turned out very cute and Darby did a good job being patient with the whole process.

Mommy's boots

Bo found my boots and put them on. He was so pleased with himself.

And Darby wanted in on the picture too.

Darby's salon

Aunt Jessi asked Darby to paint her nails. Darby wasn't quite sure how to paint someone else's nails but she did a great job.

I love the serious look on her face.

Sounds of sleep

Bo had a hard time falling asleep so we brought him downstairs and he finally drifted off to Lala land while Brad was holding him. We took a few pictures then Brad wanted me to get a video of the sweet sound of a sleeping baby.

And then she turned 3!

Our Darby turned 3 last Saturday! Yes I am in a little state of shock. But we will just roll with it for now. (We actually celebrated her birthday on Friday since I was going to be out of town on her birthday).

We decorated her door.

We ate donuts for breakfast, mac n cheese for lunch and grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner.  (You may recall this is the exact menu for Ollie.  I think he has a tiny bit of influence on her).

We ended with cupcakes and ice cream.

And opening a few presents.

We are so in love with our Darby!

Rainy Worms

With our big rainstorm last week it made for lots of water and plenty of worms. The kids had fun finding them and putting them in their worm farm. I was just happy they were outside, even if it meant playing with the worms.

Running down the Hallway

Our bedtime routine is so different from when we had just one or two. We used to spend lots of time with Brody letting him run up and down the hallway. It was fun to do this Bo and brought back some fun memories.

We tried to get his running on video but he was quickly distracted by his 3 brothers who were coming upstairs.  He was so excited about it!

Coloring Toe Nails

Darby discovered a way to paint her toe nails without the use of nail polish (since we don't have any in this house). She is quite proud of her pedicure.

More Piano Duets

Darby & Ollie were at it again, singing their most famous song. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We all dressed up in green. I had a hard time finding green clothes for Darby but finally found green pants and a green Christmas shirt in a bag of 4T clothes.

Then I tried to take a picture.  This is what I got.  Complete with a nerf gun.

And a few silly faces.

The leprechaun left Lucky Charms for us, turned our milk and toilet water green.  What a mischievous little guy.

This was after the toilet was flushed a few times but you can still see the footprints.

The Big 5!

Last week Ollie turned 5! He was so excited, but then again he is excited about most everything.

He had donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast.

Shell Mac N Cheese for lunch
Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup for dinner

Opening Presents

Singing Happy Birthday!

We love our Ollie so much!  He brings our family comic relief almost every second of the day.

Chicken Pot Pie

One of my new ideas is to have the kids help me "cook" dinner. Each kid picks a meal. It's one kid per week. So far Ollie has picked grilled cheese and tomato soup and Colt picked out chicken nuggets.  Its pretty simple to assemble these  but the idea is that they will get more complicated over time.

Brody decided he wanted chicken pot pie.

The good news:  He was super helpful and made almost all of it himself.
The bad news:  He is the only kid that LOVES it.  The rest we had to fight with to eat.  (My least favorite thing to battle)

Brad and I thought it was yummy.
