Princeville Golf

One of the things Brad wanted to do was play golf while we were in Hawaii. We were very close to the Makai Golf Course and when Brad asked they had a time for him to go. 

 

I decided to ride along in the cart.  It was a beautiful course and Brad had a decent game. 

 

We got to play with two guys (Robin & Travis).  Robin golfs there every week and actually grew up in Kauai.  Travis was his friend visiting from Santa Barbara. They were both super nice.  

The lady came by with some fresh pineapple.   I don't like pineapple so I gave mine to Brad.

 

Hanalei Bay

After our hike we went back to Hanalei Bay for lunch. Then we explored the beach and just had a wonderful time hanging out with each other.  We were thankful for each second of our trip and appreciated our time together. 

 

Kalalau Trail

Our first morning in Kauai we went to the Kalalau Trail.  We went after we stopped for coffee/tea and breakfast.  (We ate at the Hanalei Bread Company and it was wonderful....we can't wait to go back). 

We were able to start hiking pretty early in the morning which was nice to beat the heat.   It was still warm while we were hiking but not too bad.   

The trail is very long but we only did the 2 miles into the beach.   Maybe next time we will be a bit more ambitious....but probably not.   It was a perfect combination of exercising but also relaxing. 

 

Kauai

Brad and I had the privilege of flying to Kauai for a trip with just the two of us. It was kind of a 20th year anniversary celebration....just a few months late. 

 

Papa Bob & Grandma Shari helped out with the kids back home and we also had arranged for some friends to help with some of the driving and activities.  I had a lot of stress and anxiety before we left about all the logistics but as soon as we landed it all went away. 

 

 It's funny how Hawaii does that to you.   

Our only hiccup was the extremely long wait at the Rental car place.   They really do mean it when they say you are on "Hawaii time".

Bull's Eye

Darby was begging me to take her to Target so she could buy some things for her Boo basket. I was too tired and told her I could maybe take her another time. She did the next best thing and convinced her dad to take her. Bo also decided to go. 

 

This was much better than going with me.  

 

Witch's Paddle

My friend sent out another invitation for a witch's paddle. She had two dates with the 2nd date being the backup if we had bad weather. Thank goodness we picked the first date because it was absolutely gorgeous, almost 70 degrees. We had a lot of witches paddling and it was such a fun sight to see.

 

Ace!

It has been fun watching Darby played volleyball for her middle school.  

She has a great serve and is still working on her consistency.  

 

Bo's Soccer Fans

It was a beautiful saturday afternoon and Bo had a soccer game. So, I made the 3 other boys cheer him on. Ollie actually found some friends to play with so he didn't do much cheering. But Brody & Colt were super fans. We even got to watch Bo score a goal!
