8th Grade Graduation

Darby had her 8th grade graduation ceremony. She spent the night at her friend's so they could all get ready together so I didn't even see her until she walked out to the ceremony. 

 

I am biased but she is gorgeous.  

Bo was excused from his classes so he could come watch. After experiencing that he probably wouldn't opt to skip classes next time.  

 

Puppies Round 2

On our drive back from Darby's hair appointment we stopped by Papa Bob's to check out Jetta's new set of puppies. They are so little! 

 

Hair

Darby wanted to get highlights in her hair so we drove out to visit little Cameo in Port Orchard. 

 

It didn't turn out as blonde as we thought it might be but the highlights are so pretty. 

 

 

 

Riley & Ryan

Brad's goddaughter, Riley, came to Seattle with her boyfriend Ryan. They came to Bo's track meet and then came over for some pickleball, dinner and smores. 

 

The fun part of their visit is they got engaged while they were in Seattle.  

It was fun to celebrate with them!  

 

Chef of the Year

 Colt took Culinary Arts this past semester so he got a lot of experience cooking different meals.  We also learned that he was in the running for Chef of the Year.  He had his final cook off and he and his team won Chef of the Year. 

Poster

 Darby needed to get a poster from school and kept leaving it at school.  She sent a message to Bo to ask him to get it for her.  He is such a great brother and had to go to great lengths to get it out of the classroom.  What a great brother! 

Final Band Concert

Bo had his last band concert of the year and likely of his musical career. He will not be taking band next year because he applied to be in ASB. He isn't able to take two electives in middle school. I am thankful each of my kids tried out a musical option for at least a year.

 

PGF Tourney

 Darby's team went to Salinas California for a softball tournament. Since Brad had little league back home I went with Darby.  It was an enjoyable trip but even more enjoyable because they won the whole tournament.  This was against some pretty good California teams.   

 

I was a bit exhausted after the weekend.   

Black Eye

 Bo had a semi final game for little league.  Brad had him pitching and he was doing great!  It was the 4th inning and a pitch was hit right back at him and hit him in the face.  One of the scariest moments as a parent especially because I saw it live.  

Thankfully he got away with just a big black eye.  Brad had taken him to urgent care and he was cleared for no concussion and also had an eye scan to make sure there was no internal damage. We are so thankful he is ok.   He was the most talked about kid at school.  There were so many people concerned about him.

Extra Pitches

 Bo getting in some extra pitches for baseball.   He improved a lot over the little league season. 

Pickle Ball Lines

Our pickleball lines were fading quite a bit. Brody & Bo spent a lot of time getting the lines straight to repaint it. They did a great job and we are excited for more pickleball.
