Cheetahs

Ollie's soccer team is the Cheetahs. He has a good coach and some friends from his class on his team. Ollie likes to play soccer but he doesn't LOVE it. He does LOVE people and LOVES life so he is just happy being out there around people.

Fish Hatchery

My friend Kelly and her daughter Norah came over last week. We decided to go to the fish hatchery in Issaquah. It was a nice day to let the kids check out all the fish.

Abi's Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated Abi's birthday. It is always fun hanging out with our family and our kids don't want to leave.

Pinata Time

I snapped this funny picture of Barb and Gladys doing some brain gym activities.

More Gymnastics

I was able to get more pictures and videos of Darby at her gymnastics class. I just love watching her do these things. I realize she is only 3 years old and this is all typically developing things for her age, but it really makes me smile watching her.

Front yard dance party

We were waiting for the "brudders" to get home and since the weather has still been nice we decided to have a dance party in the front yard.

I just love these two!

Starbucks & Seahawks

The other day my sister sent me a text message. It said some of the Starbucks stores in the greater Seattle area were having Seahawks Baristas from 2 - 3. I took the kids last year and we met Russell Okung.  This time I was hesitant about going because Bo needed a good nap (he had a short one the day before) and because I was watching Aspen.  Jessi convinced me to go and told me I should ask Ganesa to meet us there.

I loaded up the car with Darby, Bo & Aspen and met Ganesa there.  We didn't know who the Seahawk would be and were happy to find out it was Ricardo Lockette.

Jessi sent me a text around 1:50 that said "you going?"   My response was this picture.

She responded:  "OMG. I love you."

I also got this blurry picture with Bo.

Ganesa and I actually hung out for about 30 minutes with our kids making a bit of a mess while we were there.  But it was fun to watch the fanfare and commotion.  Plus we took a few more pictures with Ricardo.  :)

As crazy as it was, I'm so glad we went.  We had a fun afternoon and it made me very happy to know I made Jessi's day.  She tweeted about it.

Thanks for the picture with "us" !!! From a super 12 in Florida!!!

It was retweeted 21 times.

Fall Fashions

One of my favorite things is seeing what outfit Darby chooses for the day.   She came to me after choosing this outfit and said in the sweetest voice.  "Look at this cute shirt."   I'm not much of a fashion expert but it is pretty darn cute.  It is also a hand me down from Sayler (which is why its a cute shirt - Aunt Jessi is a fashion expert).   So I took a picture to send to Aunt Jessi.   And of course we had to take a few with some extra posers.

Talk Like a Pirate Day

Brad was at a cross country meet for Friday and Saturday so it was just me and the kids. I got wind of "Talk Like A Pirate Day" and decided I would take them for Saturday morning donuts.

The kids were excited to dress up, although Bo was a little reluctant at first.

Enjoying our donuts.

Colt put a monkey on his shoulder because we don't have a bird.
What a cutie!

The kids were great and we stayed in there for an hour (not my choice) because they were highly entertained watching the donuts being made.

Sleeping

I came back from an early morning run and found Bo in our bed. It was the cutest!

Practicing

We have three more weeks to get these names down.

We still have a little time to practice.

A rough morning

It isn't always easy being the youngest.

More from the Blerch

These are the "professional" pictures taken at the race.

The best part is they are "free" or part of our entry fee at least.

I'm not in the orange, I'm behind the finish line in the blue with my arms up in the air.

They aren't the greatest pictures but at least I still have a smile on my face.

Beat the Blerch

A few months ago I noticed (on facebook) a few of my friends signing up for a race called Beat the Blerch. I knew that this race filled up fast so I was feeling some pressure.  I thought it would be fun, especially if there were a handful of friends doing it too.  So I signed up for the 10K.  I told myself it would be a good way to keep me in shape over the summer without the pressure of a longer race (i.e. half marathon).

Last weekend was the race.  After learning the race started at 10:00 and not 8:00 I readjusted my "race plan".  Wait I didn't have a race plan but I did have a "who will watch the kids plan" that flopped.  So, Brad (who had his own cross country practice) took the kids with him.

These are some of the friends (from our church).

Jen and I do lots of early morning runs together.

A better group selfie.

I had no real race plan so I decided to just go with what felt best.  I wanted to run with my friends because that is more enjoyable but as soon as the race started I felt claustrophobic and just wanted to get out of the crowd.  So I left my friends and just ran.   I didn't really do as well as I think I could have done but I really hadn't done any "speed" training.   Overall I had a fun time and everything is more fun with a group of friends.

Plants and Gardens

Ollie was invited to join his friend Owen for a Park Ranger class. It was free through the Bellevue Parks Department. We decided to give it a shot to see what it was like. Owen's mom picked up Ollie which made it less stressful for me to get the other kids there on time.

I'm glad we got there a little late because it wasn't the most engaging class for a 3 and almost 2 year old.   The kids learned about plants and they each got to plant their own kale. (I didn't get a picture of this)

But I did get some cute pictures in front of flowers.

I was watching Aspen too so she got in the picture.
