Basketball snapshots

A few pictures from some of Darby's basketball games. Brad was doing the scoreboard for one of the games.

Bo band Concert

 Bo had his 6th grade beginning band concert.  It was such a treat to watch him play the trumpet.   

Our Christmas Tree

 We made it a point to get our Christmas tree before Brody had to get back to WSU.  We went to the same Christmas tree lot we went to last year and are happy to support their fundraiser.

After we went to Papa Bob's we drove over to Grammy's to help her decorate her Christmas tree. It's so fun and festive!

 

Puppies

We went down to Papa Bob and Grandma Shari's to have a late thanksgiving celebration and also to see the puppies. They are adorable.

Guess how many times we heard "Can we get a puppy?"  

 

The answer is still no.   We can always visit.   

We also got a good picture of all of us.  

 

Thanksgiving

After the Turkey Trot and some showers we went to Brian and Angie's for Thanksgiving. I didn't take many pictures but did snap these few.

 

Turkey Trot

 

There was some grumbling but we got everyone out of bed and we all ran/walked the Turkey Trot.   Not everyone agrees with me but I think its such a great way to start our Thanksgiving especially when we see all the people in the community out there supporting the food bank.  

Family Football

Ollie and I drove to Yakima to pick up Brody. His roommate drove him back to his house and we met him there.  It was great to have Brody home and nothing made me happier than coming home to see all my kids playing football together.  I hope they will do this forever.

Sushi

Brad took Darby & Bo out to Sushi.    It's always a favorite.  

 

Basketball Lunch

 Darby had a basketball tournament and had some time between games so some of her teammates went out to lunch.  

Trampoline Park

 Bo has been asking for his birthday party to be at the trampoline park with Louie & Finn.  I finally found a time that all 3 boys could be there so I took them down for some jumping.   It was SO crowded on a rainy saturday but we survived. 

 Chick-fil-a was right around the corner so that was an easy decision.  

 

 

Troll Walk

 I met up with my friend and college roommate a few weeks ago.  We decided to walk to the troll since she hasn't seen it then we enjoyed some lunch together.  It was great catching up with Joy. 

 

Bo's fans

Bo had a soccer game that was very close to Papa Bob's house so he and Grandma Shari came to watch.  It was dumping rain the whole game until the last 5 minutes.  

 They were very brave fans to come in the downpour. 

 

 

Blanket Project

 Darby and her friend Tatum decided to do a blanket project.   I wasn't thrilled about the idea but I am always happy when they find something to entertain themselves that isn't a screen.   They didn't realize the blankets were going to be as fluffy and there was lots of fluff floating around the house.  

XC Finals

Bo had his last cross country race for 6th grade middle school boys. He did such a great job and ended up in 17th place out of 122 runners. We are so proud of him. He had quite the fan base too.

 

Runaway Jeep

Colt was having trouble with the Jeep so I drove the kids to school. When I got back to the house the Jeep had rolled into the cul-de-sac. What a funny sight! I'm thankful no one was hurt and now we know to make sure that emergency brake is really on and the Jeep is in gear.

 

Halloween

It was a different Halloween since none of the kids wanted me to go trick-or-treating with them. I was a little sad at first but when I saw that the forecast called for dumping rain it wasn't all that bad to stay at home and open the door for trick-or-treaters. Brad can tell you how excited I got each time the doorbell rang.

 

Colt put together this costume at the last minute.   

Darby and her friends went as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 

Bo went with Bob Ross (Louie) and a ninja (Finn) and he went as a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos (thanks to our friends who let us borrow it)

We also borrowed this mad scientist costume and I wore a superhero cape since I had worn it to school that day.  

Despite the dumping of rain the kids still came home with more than enough candy.
