Freshman on Campus

 Brody had his first day of classes at WSU.  I asked him to take a picture but told him he didn't need to make a sign.  He did anyway and it melted my heart. We miss him but so happy he is thriving.  

Seventeen!

Papa Bob, Grandma Shari, Jetta and Bluebear stopped by to celebrate Colt's 17th birthday.

We also had donuts and ice cream for Colt on his actual birthday.

Boogie Boarding

We drove back from dropping Brody off at WSU then came back home for the night. The next morning we left to head out to Moclips. The kids were already there since Colt caravaned out there with Brian.  It didn't take long for them to go boogie boarding.   

 

WSU Cougars!

We got home from Glacier on a Tuesday afternoon. We had 3 full days to get Brody ready to go to WSU.  He made his final decision on July 16th and move in day was August 9th.    Talk about a whirlwind. 

 

There were lots of emotions leading up to the send off and tears too. 

 

We woke up early Saturday morning to start our drive.  None of us had even been to the campus.   We drove through lots of fields and were so surprised when we arrived in Pullman to see the green trees and hills.  It was so pretty.    

 

Our first stop was lunch.   

 

We helped Brody get his cougar card (important for buying meals etc.).  Then we checked into his dorm.  

 I cried all the way home.  (and I might be crying now).   We miss him so much but so far every call we have had with him has been positive and he really seems to be enjoying it and thriving.  We can't wait to visit him.
