Wagon ride

The kids got a ride in the wagon with our neighbors.   I'm not sure how they all fit in there and how it didn't break. 

Picture practice

Darby and Bo had picture day.  I’m not great at picking out what they should wear so I took a few pictures of them and sent it to Brad.  Darby and I had some fun with the no smile pictures.  

Seahawks & Macklemore

Brad and I went to the home opener of the Seahawks.  It was supposed to rain so we brought all our rain gear, which is why it didn't rain.  

There was a concert with Macklemore before the game.  Unfortunately he was on the opposite side of the field so we only got these pictures of him on the big screen. 

Despite a very frustrating loss it was fun to be together and to see a Seahawks game in person. 

Xc @ Inglemoor

Brody had a cross country meet against Inglemoor.  

Brad was able to watch him run and Grammy & Fafa came too! 

Caution: Runner on road

Darby joined Brad for his cross country practice.   Brad drove the RV down to Lake Sammamish.

Boot camp hike

Once we returned from our RV trip I organized a boot camp for our neighborhood.  One of the ways we "celebrated" the end of summer was to hike up to Poo Poo Point.  We went on an early sunday morning and although we didn't get sunshine we manged to mostly escape the rain. 

3 things

The kids have been doing 3 unique things about me at school.   

Colt decided to submit a picture with Apolo.  

5K

Brody ran his first full cross country race which is a 5K course.    But first we had to go get him some new running shoes. 

We love watching him run.

Moms do the Fair

A friend of mine turned 40 right before Covid.   She was challenged to ride a roller coaster in her 40th year so we planned to go the Puyallup Fair last year to ride the roller coaster.  It didn't happen so I asked her if she was going to do it this year.   She had forgotten about the challenge and was so excited that I reminded her.     Another one of her friends met us there and we had the absolutely BEST time.  We learned a few things about the timing (the rides didn't open until noon) and how to get the best value for our money.  

We also enjoyed some yummy fair food without any guilt.   We can't wait to go next year!

Matchy, matchy

Brad and I have a few items of

Clothes that match including our new Millsap farm shirt.  I had put it on a few weeks ago and Brad copied me.   He thought he was so funny and took this picture of us wearing the same shirt.  If you were able to see my face you would see how annoyed I was with him.  Not necessarily because we were matching but just because he was being annoying. 

Target practice

On Sunday at the Ranger Station, we drove up to a gravel pit and the kids had a chance to do some target practice.    It was really hot so we didn't last a super long time.   Everyone but Ollie had a chance to do some shooting.  Ollie decided he didn't want to shoot. 

Washoes, Jenga and Poker

The kids are getting so good at playing all the games.  We played a lot of washoes, some jenga and finished our nights with Poker.  

Helicopter Pad

We headed down to Oregon for Labor Day weekend and the Smith family reunion.   It was just us and the Doug Smith family....again.   

We took MARV and drove a few hours on Thursday night before we camped in Yakima. We drove the rest of the way on Friday.  

We went up to the helicopter pad with Quinn & Jensen.   It's one of our traditions.

Rivalry

Brody had his first cross country meet.   It was a 2 mile jamboree at Lake Sammamish State Park.  Brad's team was also there competing.   

After many years of watching Brad's athletes compete it is quite surreal to have one of our own kids as a high school runner.  I proudly wore my purple and yellow to support Issaquah.   I am usually wearing Interlake colors.
