Hat & Bouncy Chair

A few adorable pictures of Bo in the bouncy chair with his green hat, which is starting to get too small. :(

Poo Poo Point

Last Saturday my parents agreed to watch our kids so we could go on a date. Since my parents fall asleep about 5:00 at night I thought it would be better to get them to come up in the morning.  They were happy about that idea.  It was a beautiful day so we decided to go for a hike.

We hiked up to Poo Poo Point in Issaquah.  It's a good little hike with an awesome view.

We took some selfies at the top.

This is Lake Sammamish in the background.

(I think a body language expert would say that this kiss looks as if Brad doesn't want anything to do with the kiss.  It was a little spontaneous and he was the one holding the camera).

As always its great for us to find time for ourselves and its getting more and more of a challenge to do so.  Thank you Papa Bob & Grandma Shari!

Outdoor Swing Time

With our nice dry weather we have been getting outside for some fresh air. (although honestly I would much rather be snuggled on a couch with a warm beverage in hand...its cold. The fresh air is great for me too)

Darby was brave enough to get on the yellow swing with Colt & Ollie.  She loved it!

I took a picture of me & Bo.  It proves he was outside and also shows that I forgot to put a hat on him.  (Don't worry he wasn't out there too long)

George's Seahawks Birthday

John & Jenny are flying to Hawaii and had a quick stopover in Seattle.
We went down to my parents to celebrate George's birthday (since it was 2 days later).  George didn't know the party was for him.

Singing Happy Birthday to George

Great Grandma Andresen came over and she had a chance to hold Bo.

Although George is cheering for the Broncos in the Superbowl he was excited to get the present he has always wanted, a Russell Wilson jersey.  (We think he could be persuaded to change his mind about who he will be cheering for)

As always the kids had a blast playing with their cousins.

Rainforest Field Trip

Colt & Ollie went to the Rainforest Cafe for a preschool field trip. Grandma Shari met us there and took Darby & Bo so I could be with their class. It was nice to not have the distraction of the little ones. It was a great field trip for a preschool class.

You mad Bo?

Bo was crying and it was taking me a little while to get to him. So I asked "You Mad Bro?"

Brad quickly replied with a "You mad Bo?"  and we thought it was kind of funny.

So then we waited for his next moment when he cried again so we could take a picture.  (Great parenting, don't you think). Then of course we posted the picture on facebook.

Santa Claus is coming?

I'm not sure how this all started but the other night as we were getting ready for bed, Darby ran into our room and started talking about Santa Claus. She did this over and over again. I am glad I was able to get it on video. It is so cute how she says Santa Claus and how she cups her little hands when she is telling us.

1st Basketball Game

Brody had his first basketball game last weekend. Brad is the coach of his team. Brad was nervous about how the game was going to go (based on the few practices they have had) but was very happy with how the kids played and how the coaching went. Brody did a great job and is getting more aggressive at dribbling and going to the basket. It will be fun to watch his improvement over the season.  I was busy wrangling kids and socializing with other moms that I didn't take very many pictures.  Hopefully I will get more next time.

Super Bowl Bound

Well that was more excitement than I wanted, but I'll take it. The Seahawks are headed to the Super Bowl. We are so excited! Since they will be playing the Broncos there will be a little friendly cousin rivalry. In the meantime we will continue to embrace the 12th man and represent the Seahawks!

We put tattoos on Bo too.
He doesn't seem to like it in this picture but he does.

Homesick

Brody has had a rough time transitioning back to school. I guess I let them watch too much tv while they were on Christmas Break.  Plus, we had friends and lots of entertainment. Why would any kid want to go back to school?

I volunteered in his class and it only made things worse.   He developed a problem with his eye and went to the office to have it checked on.  They called home and we encouraged him to talk to a school counselor.  Together they came up with ideas to help him with coming back to school.

1) your mom could volunteer at school more

2) To go out and buy something or get a treat

3) To go to the mountain to ski with your mom

Not sure what this all means but I thought it was cute.

Ollie took this bib out of the drawer and wanted me to take a picture.

Gunner & Sayler

Gunner & Sayler stayed with us while their parents were in Las Vegas. Sayler stayed with us from Wednesday to Tuesday and Gunner came over on Friday. So for almost 4 days we had 7 kids in our house.   It was busy!  It was also a lot of fun.

I only took two pictures.

Ollie & Sayler were two peas in a pod.  They played Paw Patrol or Mommy & Daddy for most of their time together.

Although he looks a little mad in this picture, Gunner had a great time.

They are moving to Florida in 2 weeks so it was special that we were able to share these days with them.  The boys miss them already.

Heart & Soul with Papa Bob

Brody has been playing up a storm with his heart & soul. Papa Bob stopped by the other day and Brody was anxious to have someone play it with him. (Since I am not good enough to keep up with him)

Papa Bob is a musical genius. Unfortunately, I have not inherited much musical talent (except maybe my dancing skills). We will see how musical our kids are. So far Brody has been loving it.

Papa Bob can play just about anything on practically any instrument.  If he doesn't know how he isn't afraid to try it out.   You can see this happen as he plays his own version and adds a little spice.  Surprisingly, it doesn't phase Brody one bit.

Bathroom Remodel

We have a few unfinished projects in our house. One of the our projects has been painting the kids bathroom.

It has looked like this for awhile.

Lori & Karl finally helped us finish it.

Lori helped with the painting.

The lighting in our bathroom is terrible, so Karl & Brad put in a new fan/light combo.
It ended up being way more work than we originally planned  but the end result has been very nice.

We had two towel racks before and replaced them with 5 hooks.
