Skateboard Show

Our neighbor was part of an event management group that organized a skateboarding show. She gave us free tickets to the show. It was a beautiful day and we were able to squeeze in a visit after church and before the Seahawks game.  

Brad took all but Bo and I stayed with Bo at church. (I was helping out in the kids program for the second service)  He took these cute pictures of the kids.  You can see the skate ramp in the background.  When I arrived we didn't stay too much longer although we wish we could have.   IT was fun to see what our neighbor had helped organize.  She did a great job! 

 

Abi's 8th Birthday

We celebrated cousin Abi's 8th birthday with a Frozen theme.  The kids, as always, had a blast.  They just played and played and played and cried when it was time to go home.  It was fun because Abi's other cousin, Stephen, was there too.  He lives in Colorado so he was visiting for a long weekend.

Mom, take a picture!

Ollie is always up for a picture. If he wasn't so distracted by just about everything else that runs through his mind I'm sure he would have me taking a picture of him all the time. 

 These turned out so cute. 

Standing Tall

Bo has been cruising and trying to stand on his own.  I was able to get a picture but missed the video of him taking a few steps.  

He is so proud of himself and the other kids are so excited!  

(Meanwhile I'm trying not to cry about my baby getting so big.  Seriously, in the last week he seems to have grown up so much) 

Longboards

Now the boys are standing up on the longboards. All these things make me nervous as a mom. I suppose that comes with the territory of having boys. 

Brody is in the yellow shirt and Colt is in the white shirt. They look a lot alike especially when Colt is wearing hand me downs.  

Darby's Tricycle

And Darby is confident on her tricycle. She does get easily distracted and often looks behind her while she is pedaling as hard as she can. Thankfully we haven't had too many accidents yet. She is one tough cookie.

Ollie is becoming a more confident bike rider. So confident that he just wanted me to keep taking videos of him.  

Talk Like a Pirate Day

ARGH!!!! Yesterday was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Brad was leaving for a cross country meet so I planned for us to go in the morning before school. It made the morning a little more hectic but it was also a fun memory we made. Thankfully Krispy Kreme wasn't that crowded and we were able to enjoy our donuts there. 

Morning snuggles

I do a lot of things in the morning before the kids are suppose to wake up. But some mornings I get back and find some of them snuggling in bed. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. 

Bo's Car Ride

Bo is finally big enough to have a ride in the car and he LOVES it.

Russell Okung

I learned that Seahawks and Starbucks were teaming up to raise some money. I have an addiction to Starbucks and a LOVE for the Seahawks so I was excited to learn of this event. There were 10 Starbucks in the greater Seattle area that were going to have a Seahawk player working as a Barista. I looked up the locations and saw that there were two relatively close by. I also looked at the list of players and knew half of them. So, I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to make the effort to go.   After a few text message exchanges with my sister I decided to give it a shot.  

We drove down to the Renton Starbucks which is right by their practice facility.  I was so excited to see the sign for Russell Okung.  (Pete Carroll or Steven Hauschka were also on the list and I would have been excited for them too). 

We arrived around 2:03 (the event was from 2 - 3) and there was already a line.  So, we waited and waited and waited.  It really wasn't that long but when you have 4 kids it seems like a LONG time.  At one point Ollie had to go to the bathroom (even though I made him go right before we left).  We were only a few people back from the register when Bo started to get really fussy.  It was nap time after all. 

I ordered my drink and got the kids a treat.  They were happy to get a picture with Russell Okung.  He gave them all high fives and then signed my cup, my card and Jessi's new Seahawk card. 

It was hectic.  I wish Brad and Brody would have been there.  But it was still a lot of fun.  The only bummer is these pictures didn't turn out as clearly as I had hoped.

A little gem.

Brad has downloaded most of his pictures on his phone. They are now on the computer but I'm having a tough time getting them sorted and organized. In the meantime here is a little gem I found. Not sure when its from but it sure is cute. 

Last Summer Swim

We decided to try for one last summer swim at Miss Kathy's. This time Brad was able to join us. It took awhile for the sun to get past the trees but once it did it was the perfect place to be on a 90 degree day. 

Once again it has been fun to see how much the kids have progressed over the summer.  

Brody & Colt have no problem jumping off the diving board and swimming in the deep end.  Brody looks like a confident swimmer.  Colt doesn't look quite as confident but he still manages to swim wherever he needs to. 

 

This time they even got to ride on Miss Kathy's dog, Kodiak.
