Turkey Trot

We were in town this year for the Thanksgiving weekend so I signed us all up for the Turkey Trot. It is always met with some grumbling but when it is done I think we all feel better for getting outside and getting some fresh air. I had been sick before this day so I wasn't sure if I would be able to participate. Thankfully I woke up with a little more energy and managed to walk/run the 5k. Colt was the family winner but they all did such a great job!

It's hard to see but this is Brody.

Brody again (blue shirt).

Baby Grand

Grammy has been downsizing and she was really sad when she realized she didn't have room in her new place for her baby grand piano. After thinking about it a little Brad decided that we could make room for it in our house. Our only problem is we still need to get rid of our other piano. It's becoming a bit crowded in there.

Brody loves playing on it and Colt is even trying to learn some songs.

Game time

I love it when my kids play games together that aren't on screens. This is them playing Binho. It's kind of like a soccer game. They really enjoy playing it.

Gliders

Ollie joined the Gliders for their extended season. He had a meet at Magnuson Park.  Brad was able to take him and I was at Bo's soccer game.   He ran great but not quite fast enough to qualify for the next round.   We are so proud of him.

Wildcat Classic

Bo also had a basketball tournament this last weekend. They were playing in a "B" division with only 4 teams. They won their first 2 games and lost their 3rd. But they still qualified for the final, playing the same team they lost to. They ended up winning by one point in the final which also gave them a ticket to state.

Red Rush

Bo had his last soccer game of the season for his team Red Rush. He had to miss one of his basketball games which was a tough decision but we are glad he was able to make it. They played well but didn't end up winning.

E & E

Cameo asked if we could watch Ellis & Eva overnight so her and Joe could go to a wedding. Our weekend was crazy busy but how can I say no to this cuteness.

I took them to Bo's soccer game and basketball game.  We didn't really watch soccer because it was wet and windy but we did splash through some puddles.

Ollie read to Eva before she went to bed.

It's so fun to have little ones in our house.

Another day....

....another party.

Ollie had fun at Anthony's birthday party.
They played soccer in the backyard and also played some Laser tag.

Conferences

Bo had conferences last week.  He had two days off of school so on one of the days we went back to Defy and took Finn and our friend Dane with us.

Car Selfies

I guess it is a good thing my kids can entertain themselves.

Fafa's Box

We had an interment service for Fafa. Brad was asked to make the box for the ashes. He did an amazing job and was very happy with the finished product.

The service was simple, sad and beautiful.

Bowling again...

Ollie was invited to another birthday party that involved bowling. I asked him if he was getting pretty good at bowling. He said he still needs some work.

Halloween 2023

I am having a hard time with Halloween as my kids get older. Brody didn't go trick-or-treating and wasn't interested in passing out candy. (to be fair we don't get that many trick-or-treaters). Colt went to a party. Thankfully 3 of our kids still went. Brad and I had some friends over for dinner and then we went walking around the neighborhood. Although next year I am going to insist that we walk around with Bo because our years are almost over and it makes me really sad.

Ollie was a monkey and his friend Aaron was the man with the yellow hat.

We saw Abi when we caught up with Darby so Brad was able to get this picture.

Candy sorting....the best part of Halloween.
