All Comers Meet

Brad's long time coach invited us to an All Comers Track Meet at Shoreline Stadium. After a busy day for the kids and a drive in traffic we made it to the meet. We made it just in time for Zephyr to race the 100 yard dash.

The kids also did the turbo jav, the long jump and the 100 yard dash.

These are all videos.   I didn't get any pictures.

Summer Gold Mining

It was a hot saturday. We didn't have much going on, so on a whim we went gold mining.  We went back to the Raging River, but it wasn't raging.  It was a perfect place to be on a hot day.

But I was a nervous momma with my kids jumping, skipping and hopping over rocks as if its no big deal.  And maybe its not a big deal for Brody, but that doesn't stop Darby & Bo from trying to jump across the rocks.

Gliders Buddy Meet

The last track meet of the season was a buddy meet. You could bring a buddy, pay a dollar and they could compete.   Zephyr was staying at our house and he was so excited to participate.  The boys thought it was pretty fun too.

They started with a relay race.  Colt ran 100 yards, Brody ran 200 and Zephyr finished the race with 100 yards.

Ribbons are always fun!

Ollie, Zephyr, Brody & Colt all did the softball throw.

Colt & Ollie did the 50.

The only bummer is that Zephyr had to leave early and didn't get to race in the 100, the one race he really wanted to compete in.

Eat mor Chikin'

Chick-fil-a finally arrived in the Northwest. They opened a store in Bellevue which isn't too far away from us. But we hadn't been. Mostly because it has been so crowded when we have driven by.  My sister Jenny told me about the Free Chick-Fil-A day if you dress up like a cow.  She sent pictures of her family heading to the restaurant.  I really didn't feel like going because I didn't have a cow costume or anything for the kids.  But she kept telling me it was really easy to dress up.  I asked Brad if he wanted to go and he said "sure," which was actually surprising to me.  So I grabbed a bunch of plastic bags, a sharpie and we made the trek over to Bellevue.

We were both pleasantly surprised at how quick the whole process was, but it is fast food after all.

The kids thought it was fun and the best part is that we all ate for free and I didn't have to worry about dinner.  We will do it again next year but hopefully I will be more prepared.

More fun at the Beach

Just a few more random pictures.

When you are #5 your parents don't care if you are face down in the wet sand, as long as you are happy they are happy.

50th Anniversary Performances

Fafa and Grammy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary while we were in Moclips. The kids put together a performance for them.

It was so cute watching them perform.

Can you tell we have been practicing?
