Celebrating 11!

This sweet girl turned 11 last week.  Her softball practice was canceled so they organized a Dairy Queen meet up to celebrate.   After going to the wrong Dairy Queen (oops) we made it to the right one to celebrate.

Baby time

I've been having so much fun watching this baby. She is so sweet and really easy. It's especially fun when the kids get a little bit of time with her.

 

Tacoma Opener

Darby had a softball tournament a few weekends ago.  Thankfully it was a nice weekend with no rain.  Her team played well but ended up losing a game Sunday morning which eliminated them from the championship games.  

 

Night skiing with Z

Zephyr was in town for a few days for his spring break.  Colt & Ollie had an early dismissal because it was the end of the trimester so Papa Bob & Grandma Shari picked them up to bring them to the mountain.  I took the rest of the kids up there after school to join him for some night skiing.  Although now that it is lighter outside we had a lot of daylight before it got dark.   

And as always we love hanging out with Zephyr.  

 

Spring Concert

Ollie had his spring concert for band. He plays in the Jazz band (in this picture) and also the 7th grade band.  We love watching him play. 

 

No more Braces

These aren't the best pictures because we have to get used to the sun in our eyes again.  But here is Brody with a before picture.

State Basketball

Darby had her state basketball last weekend.  Their goal was to come home with the championship but they lost by 3 points in the semi finals to Skyline.   

Coach Doug had some nice things to say about Darby. 

The 3rd teenager

Ollie turned 13 on March 11th. He wanted a party at Defy (the trampoline park) but I discouraged him from that. He didn't want one at our house because he didn't want me there. He said he just wanted to roam the neighborhood with his friends.  So from breakfast until well past dinner (with a break for a basketball game) his friends came and went to celebrate him. 

It was his perfect kind of party.

We added Tyler in this sibling picture because sometimes he is just part of our family.

These boys are always making up the most random games.  This one involved plastic cups and jumping over them.

Zamboni

Brad has a friend who works at some of the Kraken games. He was able to arrange for Darby & Bo to ride the Zamboni between the 2nd and 3rd period. 

 

It was a super fun experience for them and the older boys were definitely envious.  

 

 

Team Pictures

 Darby's team had pictures taken so we ordered one of the standard team photos with an individual picture.  What a little superstar!

Baby time

I am so lucky that I get to watch this baby girl for the next 5 weeks.  (She is the daughter of Colt's 4th grade teacher and they needed some childcare for just a little bit).  She is so sweet, adorable and a very easy baby.   Darby especially loves playing with her but she only gets to see her for a little bit before school.  Darby was waiting for a softball hitting lesson so we played on the floor while we were waiting.

 

Las Vegas

Darby and I left Sunriver a day early so we could fly to Las Vegas for a soccer tournament. We actually flew back to Seattle then flew into Las Vegas from there. It seemed a bit silly. 

 

Her team lost, won and lost.   So it wasn't the best tournament for them. 

 

We did enjoy some hotel tv, In N Out fries and shakes and some arcade games. 

 

Waiting for our flight home to Seattle.  Thankfully Darby had some teammates on our same flight.

It was a VERY late flight and Darby was doing great, until she wasn't.  Thankfully she slept a little.
