Campfires & Cake

We had the most beautiful weather during our week at Moclips.

Sunny and no wind.

Colt, Bo and I ventured down to the log place.

With very little wind we decided to have a campfire.

The kids collected some wood.

Yes, it was cold but it was a fun adventure and who doesn't love eating s'mores.

We also had a birthday celebration for me, Brad and Grandma Shari.  It's always fun to celebrate a birthday....or 3.

Visitors to the Beach

Papa Bob & Grandma Shari came to visit us at the beach. They have never been to Moclips so it was fun for us to show them around and they could tell why we love this place. I went for an early morning walk with my mom. It was SO cold but so beautiful. We loved watching the Eagles feast on the dead seal.

We played lots of Rock Golf with them.

We also had a great game of beach soccer including some fouls and yellow cards that will go down in the history books.

We were sad to see them go but we know they will come back again.

Games Inside & Outside

We made a good effort to have no screen time while we were at Moclips. This resulted in a lot of board games and we had so much fun. Our favorite was Dragonwood. We also played games on the beach, including soccer and Rock Golf.

Morning Beach Walks

One of my favorite things about the beach is going for morning walks. Ollie joined me for a walk and we checked out the eagles.

Moclips in February

We were trying to decide what we wanted to do for mid-winter break. It was a toss up between staying home and making it a ski week or heading out to Moclips. When we learned there was a house available to rent we decided to go all in for the beach.

It truly is our happy place and it is a place where Brad can definitely feel relaxed.

We arrived Sunday evening just as the sun was about to set.

Monday was all about play.  Colt, Darby & Ollie wanted to go boogie boarding.  Brody decided to go skim boarding instead.

Yes, it was cold.   They didn't last too long but still had a ton of fun.

Babysitting & Dragon Football

Brody had his first babysitting job a little over a week ago and it was a pretty fun one.  His job was to join Dane and his family at the opening game of the Seattle Dragons, the new XFL team.   Brody's responsibility was mostly to keep Dane and his cousin entertained during the game.

Brody went on the field before the game. Then he spent the game up in a suite.

He also got a picture with Steve Largent.  I am not at all jealous....ok, maybe a little.

Oh and the babysitting part was great too!

Browsing with Brody B

I was able to get some mom/son time with Brody the other day.  His choice was to go to Value Village to look for shoes and also to browse around.

We had a ton of fun talking about all the things we found there.   And I was so thankful for the other small conversations we had about life.

We had some fun with this heart pillow.

There are lots of crazy things in this world.

This kid is pretty awesome and I am so thankful for him.

Birthday Celebration

I had a wonderful birthday! It started off with boot camp and then Brad & the kids decorated my door. After a donut breakfast and getting the kids off to school I went to my Hot Yoga class.

I meant to get a picture with Jamie (my friend who regularly meets me at Yoga but I forgot).  She did give me these Birthday Cake Truffles as a present.

My birthday banner.

Flowers from my boot camp ladies.

I didn't have a lot of time but I was able to sneak in a lunch date with my mom at Panera Bread. I'm so thankful we share this special day.

Kisses from my kids.

The day ended with a dance party in the kitchen.  I am SO grateful!
