A new video game

Mark & Harvey brought over the new Kinect gaming system so that we could all play it.  It was so much fun!   It is absolutely amazing what video games are capable of doing.

Cameo & Sean playing soccer.

Sean, Brody & Gunner dancing

Brody was lucky enough to try out a few different games.  In this video he is bowling.  It took him only a few times to get the hang of it.  He is so focused.

This is the dancing game.  Sean is playing it but Brody & Gunner think they are playing it too.  I would be playing this game right now if we had the Kinect at our house.  It was such a blast!

Thanksgiving 2010

We spent Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Port Orchard.  We were thankful the roads were clear to make the drive over there.  You never know what will happen when my family gets together but it always makes for great memories.

Gunner and his favorite person, Ollie.

Watching Football (this was before the big Tim Tebow debate started).
Sean (in the front) Kyle, Adam, Jason and Karl (Brad's friend joined us for Thanksgiving)

The place where the ladies like to hang out.
Jessi (with Ollie), Brittanie (holding Sayler), Cameo, Sally & Pede

Papa Bob doing what he does best....playing with the grandsons.

Gunner pulling Colt (that's pretty typical), Brody, & Papa Bob

Talen (Kyle & Brittanie's son) in the front.  (I just love those curls on him)

Dinner time conversation

The only bummer part about Thanksgiving is that the food was so good most of it was eaten.  We didn't have any leftovers to bring home.

Sledding

The highlight of the snowfall was the sledding!   Our neighbors were so kind and let all the neighbor kids slick up their driveway so we could go sledding.  Brody has been hesitant about sledding in the past but this year he absolutely LOVED it!  Colt had a great time too!

Brody (in the yellow jacket) going on the snowboard sled with our neighbor, Olivia.

One of my favorite things about being a mom is that I can go sledding too.  Colt and I had so much fun sledding together.

Brody heading back up the driveway to have another turn.

A short video of Brody sledding with Olivia.

Brody is on the right with Olivia.  Colt and I are on the left sledding down the hill.

Brody sledding by himself.  I absolutely love listening to Brody laugh in this video.

On Thanksgiving Eve we were cleaning up dinner when our doorbell rang.  Our neighbor invited us out to go sledding.  They had a little fire going in the middle of the cul-de-sac and all the kids were sledding.  I didn't get any pictures outside since it was so dark but we all had a great time.

I did get this picture of Ollie who had fallen asleep outside.

Sledding makes all of us tired.

And the snow kept falling....

When Brad got home from work we quickly bundled up the boys and took them outside to play in the snow.  The snow wasn't very good for building snowmen but we were able to make a few snowballs.  The boys had fun throwing them at us.

Tuesday morning I bundled up the boys and took them outside.  They didn't last very long.  Part of the reason is because they had to wear these wool gloves.  As soon as they were wet there hands were freezing.  Fortunately Brad was able to get them some great inexpensive gloves from Costco.

Of course I wanted them to play in the snow but they just wanted to do their "normal" outdoor activities like swinging on the swings and riding their bikes.

Snow = Hot Chocolate

I was so excited when we had snow at our house. I dressed and bundled up all the boys and took them outside.   The snow wasn't very good for building snowmen and it hadn't iced up enough to go sledding so there wasn't much for the boys to do.  It was very cold so it was only about 10 minutes before I heard "my hands are cold.  I want to go inside."

Ollie looking as cute as ever!

The boys have learned (or discovered) that when they go outside in the snow they can have hot chocolate afterwards.  That is another reason why they don't like staying outside very long.   Hot chocolate was just way more appealing.

We are Thankful!

I am trying to start some of our own family traditions around the holidays.  One thing we have been doing this past month is telling each other what we are thankful for at dinner time.  I forgot to write down all of the answers but here are a few of the ones I remember.  These are mostly from Brody (& Colt).

We are thankful for....

*Mommy
*Daddy
*Colty
*Brody
*Ollie
*Papa Bob & Grandma Shari (Papa Bob actually gets mentioned regularly, partly because the boys love him but also because Colt is very good at saying his name)
*Grammy & Fafa
*My MAC truck
*Emily's Birthday Party
*Snow
*Dinoco
*Playing soccer with Colt
*Jeremiah (this was a boy Brody met at Lake HiHium.  Brody still talks about him)
*going to Lake HiHium
*going to the Ranger Station
*toys

We are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends that we have.  We are truly blessed and so glad we can share our lives with you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mr. Lamby's cape

Brody & Colt have loved the superhero capes they got from George & Wesley.  The other day Brody wanted Mr. Lamby to have a superhero cape too.  We decided to call Grammy and Brody asked for a black superhero cape for Mr. Lamby.  (We advised to also make one for Wado.  Wado is Colt's pooh bear that he sleeps with).

Two days later Brody & Colt received a package in the mail with their new superhero capes.  How cute are these!

A video of Brody opening up his present.

Thank you Grammy!  We love them!

Playhouse

We got this playhouse when Brody was little.  Although it takes up a lot of space it really does entertain the kids (all 3 of them) quite a lot.  Ollie is especially enjoying it.   I was able to get a few videos of him playing and laughing with Colt.

You will notice 2 of my 3 boys without their pants on.  It happens a lot in our house because I tend to get a little lazy.

I love the drool/spit off the bottom of Ollie's chin.

November Family Hike

We finally had a weekend where we didn't have cross country or some other event going on.  Since it was a pretty clear day we decided to go on a family hike.  As we were driving out of our street we were trying to decide where to hike.  Once we realized we would be hiking in North Bend we called my brother to see if he wanted to join us.  He was working on his car so he couldn't.  We decided to invite ourselves to see him.  (He lives on my parent's property).   We haven't been up there in over a year so we thought we would see what progress has been made.

It's always fun to see Uncle Jason and we had a fun time exploring and hiking.  It was perfect!

Colt hiking on the trail.

Yes, I was there too.  I just forgot to take a picture of me.

Is God nice?

Colt's talking is getting a lot better although it is still hard to understand him at times.  Brody, however, seems to understand a lot of what he says and they are always having conversations while they are playing.   Brad overheard this conversation between them.

B: Hey Colt.
C: Yeah.
B: When you cry, do you think about God?
C: Yeah
B: Is God nice?
C: Yeah

Messy Lesson

We were at my parent's house a few weeks ago and my dad and Jessie watched the boys while I went to the dentist.   They had to feed Ollie his lunch so Jessie volunteered to feed him.  Apparently she left the food on the tray while she went to check on something.  When she came back she found that Ollie had tried to feed himself.

A messy lesson learned!
(although in Jessie's defense she does have a newborn so she is a little sleep deprived).

How cute is this kid?

Off the bed

It's a bit of a long story, but we had put the crib mattress on the floor and the boys decided that they wanted to sleep on it.  So we let one of them since it really only had room for one.

I went to check on the boys and found Colt with his head off the mattress resting on the turtle.  It really can't be that comfortable.

If you notice under his chin it is actually a drool spot, not a shadow.  I'm still not sure how he managed to drool down the side of the mattress.

Ollie & the Dump Truck

Brad was playing with the boys while I was cleaning up dinner.  I heard Colt laughing super hard and looked to discover that Ollie was driving the dump truck.  Ollie seemed to love it just as much as Colt did.

I know I am very biased, but what a stinkin cutie!

Fall School Work

Here is some of Brody's latest work from school.  I love that he does so much painting because we don't do very much at our house.

He sorted (and colored) the fruits and vegetables.

I think this is a bat and a moon.  I'm not sure where the bat is flying.

Ollie laughs

Brad was making Ollie laugh so I grabbed the camera to get a video.  He was actually laughing even harder before I grabbed the camera but it is still so cute.

Babies

My boys haven't been into babies or dolls.  Mostly because we only have real babies.  They do play with them when we are at friend's houses (if they have dolls)

The other day Colt took one of his animal friends and put a diaper on it.  He then wrapped it up in a blanket and called it his baby.  Brody decided to get in on it too.  Before I knew it they were finding diapers to put on their "babies".

Here is their Minnie baby in the bouncy chair.

They would also change the babies poopy diapers and put cream on their bottoms.  It's funny what they pick up from watching us.

Eight Months

Ollie is 8 months old.  This means he is only 4 or 5 months away from walking.  My goodness this house is going to be busy.

He just got his bottom two teeth this last week.  He continues to be a happy little guy and has lots of smiles for everyone.  He also loves watching his brothers and will often laugh at their antics.  It will be so fun when he starts chasing them around.

The video is a little boring....but its for the Grandmas who don't get to see him every day. :)
