Memorial Day Tournament

Last weekend we went to Vancouver, WA for Colt's baseball tournament. 

We had some good weather and Colt had a great time.  Colt had a lot of playing time as a catcher.  It was a joy to watch him. 

Unfortunately, their team didn't do so well.

Throwing it back

I'm throwing it back for a few reasons.  

One, my pictures aren't uploading so I don't have any pictures. 

Two, I get a little sad about my kids growing up.  This sweet boy only has 3 weeks left of Elementary School and then never again will he be there.  

Three, sometimes I forget how little and how big Bo is.  

This picture is Brody at about the age Bo is right now.  It seems like such a long time ago, but then it doesn't.   

Four, its fun to see their similarities.

Characters

This is one of Bo's favorite games.  He gets the Infinity game characters and we play with them.  I'm not very good at role playing especially when it is just me and Bo. He gets impatient with me but I am trying my best and of course we always end up with a mess.  

Sweetest Dreams

I always love these sweet pictures.  

This was when Ollie helped Bo fall asleep.  He also had his giant dog and other stuffed animals to help him.

Ollie used Darby's hair chalk to decorate his face and hair.

Jeep Date

A few weeks ago we were on our way home from Colt's baseball game.  I had all the kids and Brad went solo since he was going to stop at Lowe's.  He called me about 15 minutes later to tell me his Jeep had broken down.   Since it was in an odd part of town he was going to stay with the Jeep until the tow truck could come.  But they had told him it would be at least 90 minutes.   

Brad asked if I could meet him.  

I texted a babysitter that lives real close and she was able to come over for an hour.   I swung by Starbucks and picked up drinks for both of us.  

Date night in the Jeep.   

We appreciate any time we get to be together by ourselves. 

Mother's Day

Our Mother's Day was busy. We had church, then baseball practice, lunch with some friends, football and a baseball game. I was exhausted. 

 

At the end of the day, I am thankful for the exhaustion.  

 

For these 5 beautiful, healthy kids.  

And especially thankful for a husband that puts up with me and is on this crazy, exhausting adventure with me.  

Early Celebration

We had a Mother's Day/Birthday celebration the day before Mother's Day. The weather was wonderful so we spent most of our time outside and the kids played a big game of handball. Or some game similar to that. 

It was Fafa and Aunt Angie's birthday earlier in the week so we celebrated with cake and ice cream. 

 

My mom and dad came to spend the afternoon with us too.

Mother's Day Tea

Darby had her Mother's Day Tea in her classroom. She was supposed to fill out another form with Brad but I totally spaced on it. She did draw this cute picture. She also had some songs that her class sang but she didn't want to participate. 

So I have this sweet picture of me and her.  

 

Pineapple Glasses

We found these sunglasses on the park so Darby had to try them on. 

She makes anything and everything look adorable!  

 

Run to Win

Brad and I went to the Run to Win auction on Cinco de Mayo. We decided to go with the Pizzazz theme which made it easy for me to decide what to wear. This is the same auction where we bid on the giant doll house. This year we came home with a new lawnmower which is a little more practical but not nearly as fun. Some of our friends, who were sitting at our table bid on a puppy and won. That was super exciting for all of us! 

Baseball Pants

I think he has the dirtiest pants in baseball. Not because he is sliding all over the place but because someone keeps forgetting to wash them. It could be worse, maybe. 

Flag Football

Ollie has been playing flag football this spring. He is still learning a lot about how to play and is finally growing to like it. I think he was a bit overwhelmed after the first practice. He plays mostly defense and prefers it that way.

Hair Style

Brad needed a hair cut and he also needed to figure out what to do with his half bleached hair. He went to a different salon and they redid his hair.  It was a 4 step process and Darby was there for the whole thing.  She was a superstar!  

Thankfully the result is what Brad was hoping for. 

No one ever said beauty was easy. 

Track Meet

Darby went with Brad to one of his track meets.  It was a short one but it also got a little chilly.

Headphones

Ollie's latest thing is listening to music as he is falling asleep.   

He just forgets to take the headphones off.  

12 years

In 12 years he won't have his car seat and he will be driving. 

 It will be here faster than we can even imagine.  

Apple Pie & Friends

Brody requested apple pie instead of cake. We also had brownies and ice cream. He has such a nice group of friends.
