Baseball Banquet

We went to Colt's high school banquet. He is always the first one called up for his team and he couldn't stop smiling. His coach had nice things to say about him including "I wish I played him more". Yes so do we.  Colt is well loved by his coaches and teammates and we are proud of all the hard work he puts in.

Driving

Another one behind the wheel. Ollie is going to be a great driver. He is cautious and also very into learning all rules. He has already told me how many rules I have broken.

Morning Run

Jen, Karen and I went for a morning trail run.  I'm thankful Jen stopped to take these two pictures.  We are so lucky to live where we do.

Substitute Tales

I have really enjoyed being a substitute teacher the past few years.   A few pictures to give you an idea of some of the things I get to do.

I knew I had a long break so I asked the teacher to leave me some projects.  She asked me to laminate a few things and I couldn't be more excited.   I love laminating!

In P.E. the kids did a bone relay.   I thought it would be pretty boring but the kids LOVED it!   This skeleton wasn't quite accurate with the fibula turned the wrong way.

And in the many tales of Kindergarten this kid got the tires of this car stuck in his hair.  Thankfully we didn't have to cut his hair to get it out of the car.    I would have had to do some explaining to the teacher and maybe the parents.

Fields of Dreams

We went to the Run to Win Auction last weekend and the theme was Fields of Dreams. So we decided to wear our baseball and softball jerseys.  We were the only ones dressed to the theme but it was fun for us.

Darby's been running in her track meets and it is so fun to watch her.

Mother's Day

It was a busy day for Mother's Day. A baseball game and a softball tournament. It ended with a quick dinner at Brian and Angie's. My only two requests were a picture with my kids and to listen to Brody play his guitar for me.

I am so grateful!

Baseball buddies

The best thing about Little League is playing against friends. I took these pictures of Bo & Finn when their teams were playing against each ohter. We were bummed they didn't get to be on the same team this year.

Spring project

Darby and her friend Tatum decided to decorate crates for their swimsuits. (Don't ask....they saw it on tik tok or something). I was just happy they had something to do and were outside to work on their project.

Ollie's fan club

Ollie had his last high school soccer game for the C team. I saw that it was going to be a beautiful afternoon and we had very little conflicts so it was a forced family event.  It was a bit of a lopsided game but we got to watch Ollie score a goal and make a lot of great plays.

Darby and Brad had to leave a little after half time to get to her softball game.

Pitcher

Darby got to pitch in one of her little league games. She did a great job although she would say otherwise. We just love watching her do all the things.

Bullpen

The JV season is over for Colt and while we would have loved watching him play in more games we still loved watching him do the little things for his team.  He always had a great attitude and was more than willing to catch in the bullpen for the pitchers.

1st Date

We are surprised we remembered our 1st date anniversary on April 19th. We take it a day at a time and sometimes forget to look at the actual date on the calendar. It's always fun going back to Duke's for some yummy food and great company. This is the first year with a giant beard. :)

Sunriver fun

When we weren't skiing we were staying at a house in Sunriver. It didn't have the arcade games in the basement but it did have an air hockey table and lots of bikes in the garage.

We also napped, rode bikes, went to dinner and enjoyed hanging out with each other.
