Friends & Birthday Cake

These two had a fun time getting to know each other and even shared a few toys. 

We celebrated Hans' birthday.  He is WAY older than Brad (by 4 days) and of course Brad always makes sure that Hans knows how much older he is.

Exploring crabs

Christian had no fear when it came to picking up crabs. Our boys didn't want to touch them.  Although Colt warmed up to the idea.

We decided to drive to another part of the island where the boys did more exploring on the beach.

The only way we could get to the beach was to go across this log.  I had boots on so I was able to hold their hands as they walked across.  They thought it was a fun adventure.  

Whidbey

Our friends, the Lolands, invited us to join them at a beach cabin on Whidbey Island. We went on a Tuesday evening and came back early Friday morning.  We all had a great time.  It was especially fun watching the boys play on the beach as they looked for shells and crabs. 

There was also a park very close by that the kids loved. 

Racing for friends

The boys lined up all their stuffed animals on the outside of the table. The animals were their cheering section as they raced. I think we have been watching a lot of the Olympics.

Starting Early

We have a small Starbucks addiction in this house. I'm not too proud of it, but it could be worse. And I like to call it my therapy. :) 

I think Bo likes it too.  

Exhausted Olympics

We had the Olympics on and I came downstairs to find Colt sleeping. It's exhausting watching all those athletes.  We aren't sure how he fell asleep with his face down.

Puddles & Boat Races

We had a lot of rain. But then it was a little sunny so we got the kids outside. They played in the puddles and had boat races. Darby was so excited. I think this was her first time watching a gutter boat race.

Olympic Snowboard Park

We have been watching a lot of the Olympics. The boys love it. Colt was inspired to make a Shaun White Lego. It quickly turned into a snowpark. I'm still not sure who had the most fun, the boys or Brad.
