Brad was telling me how most of the people who were buying shirts were local people in Prineville. There were also other people set up in the Rite-Aid Parking Lot trying to sell things and they were all selling to each other. Brad told me one guy was even trying to sell him glasses and Brad's response was "I don't need to sell anything else, I'm knee deep in T-shirts."
When Brad told me this, I said "You know, people up here are looking for glasses and they are willing to pay money for them."
So, Brad ended up buying 500 glasses from this guy. They started driving home on Saturday. In the meantime we posted something on our neighborhood facebook page telling people we would be set up in our park at 2:00.
By the time we were set up we had already pre-sold 200 glasses. It was crazy!
We hung out at the park for a few hours selling our glasses.
Brad decided we should get some more so he paid his cousin to drive more up on Sunday morning. We set up again on Sunday and spent the whole day selling glasses. It was non-stop. In fact we sold all the way up until the eclipse started.
We are still thinking about all the craziness that happened.
Through it all the kids were rock stars! They complained a little but I think they had fun with the constant activity and just hanging out at the park all day.
