ASB Spirit Workshop

Ollie had a field trip for his ASB class. They needed chaperones and he said I could go. I was so excited to relive some of my own ASB days. They had a speaker who came to talk to the ASB groups of the 3 major high schools.  Ollie showed up without face paint but his classmates helped him out.  He also ended up being the mascot for his group. 

Ollie really enjoyed the workshop.  It will be fun to see how is ASB days go.  

 

Embarrassing

 

Brad and Darby were at the store and he sent me this picture....after Darby said he was SO embarrassing! 

Broncos

The Broncos were in town to play the Seahawks so of course Ollie had to go.

 Thankfully the Seahawks won.  Sorry Ollie!

Seattle Storm

I purchased tickets to a Storm game at the beginning of the summer assuming Darby would be going. She ended up having a conflict with a birthday party so she didn't go. Ollie was going with one of his friends and even though I wasn't super excited about going, I went. 

 

It was actually quite fun and the Storm crushed it.

Helicopter & Fishing

We took a hike up to the Helicopter pad and actually managed to get a family picture.

 

 On Sunday, Kyle took the kids to a nearby lake to go fishing.  They all went with him and it was weird for Brad and I to just be back at the Ranger Station without a kid to be responsible for.  Bo was the only one who caught something.

 

Washoes

Labor Day weekend wouldn't be complete without the Washoe tournament. It is fun watching the kids participate but there is a lot of pressure for a Barquist to make it to the final and win. Thankfully Brad was able to carry the family this year.

 

 

Ranger Station

The kids missed their second day of school so we could head down to the Ranger Station for the family reunion. A few pictures of breakfast, campfire and family.

Last days of summer

While playing on Xbox and talking to his friends, Bo organized a playdate with Finn and his friend Grady. It was the last day before school started so it was nice to have something fun to do. They went to the lake and played some basketball in our cul-de-sac.

 

Lake Cushman

Jen and I were anxious to get some hiking in during our "backpacking" weekend. Ollie was the only one up for joining us.  It filled my need to be outside doing something.   The views were beautiful and it was such an enjoyable hike.
