Orange Ruler Fun Run

Every other year our school has a fundraiser called the Orange Ruler Fun Run.  They collect money and then run for 20 minutes. They don't count their laps...they just have fun. 

Our kids rocked it and had LOTS of fun.  The highlight was Bo being the official cheerleader and high five specialist.   

I was the crazy parent yelling and cheering for anyone I knew.  

Darby's 6th - Part 2

Darby's one request for her birthday was to go to Frozen Yogurt. So we went there after dinner and we were able to take our neighbor Kate with us too. 

When we got home we lit the candles and sang "Happy Birthday".  But we were all too full to have any cake.

Darby's 6th Birthday - Part 1

We started off Darby's birthday with donuts. 

What else would it be? 

Then she couldn't wait to open her presents.

She requested to not go to school since it was her birthday but I had to remind her that it was the day of the fun run.  Bo and I were able to go and cheer her on. 

After school we had a little party in the cul de sac and celebrated with cupcakes. 

Happy 6th birthday Darby!

Once again I am having trouble uploading my photos. Until then here is one I was able to get uploaded. 

 Darby celebrated her 6th birthday on Wednesday. 

It's crazy to think six years ago we had the biggest surprise ever when the doctor said "It's a girl!"  

 

Musical Focus

Brody finished up his Science Fair Project, titled Musical Focus. We had to take some pictures to put on his board so he reenacted his experiment. 

 

Mismatch

Ollie played with Colt's team again. He had one time where he was mismatched with the opponent. He held his ground and did a great job against him.

With these sunny days Bo and I have gone to the park, a lot. Right now is favorite is Lake Sammamish State Park since it has the mushroom house. I convinced him to try out Robinswood, just to change it up.  It was a good reminder of how grateful I am to spend this precious time with my kids.  

Substitute Player

Colt's team was short players so Ollie was a substitute for them. He did great!

You can see him in the video (#4) playing some great defense. Then at the very end of the video you can see Colt doing a great box out. 

Bear Bear and Sunshine

Darby was star of the week. She got to take Bear Bear home for the week.  Our neighbor joined Darby and Bear Bear for a snack.  They moved their chairs to the mailboxes so they could chase the sun. 

We sort of forgot about Bear Bear the rest of the week so we took a few staged pictures.  We did take him to basketball games but forgot to take a picture so we took this one instead.

Eight is Great! Ollie is Great!

We celebrated our fun, happy, outgoing Ollie. We went to church then came home and spent most of the day playing in the beautiful sunshine.  We were going to go to church but instead had Subway at home and our friends came to play with Ollie.

Cake Decorating

Ollie was so excited for his birthday and even more excited to decorate his cake. He requested blue and orange. 

 Darby & Bo helped too.

Sounders Opening Game

Brad and I went to the Sounders season opener last weekend. Unfortunately they didn't win even though they outshot their opponents by quite a lot. And of course the best part was it was a date for us.  (We forgot to get a picture of the two of us).
