Pop Can Flyers

Brody had marketplace at school. Brad and Brody brainstormed some ideas and came up with Pop Can Flyers. Brody said it was successful and had a great time buying products from his classmates.

1st Date Anniversary

April 19th almost came and went. Fortunately I had scheduled a babysitter a few weeks ago so we were able to celebrate our 1st Date Anniversary.

It was too cold to sit outside this year.

Our waiter took the pictures but they didn't turn out that great so we took a selfie instead.  :)

Happy Easter!

We tried to get at least one family picture with all of us dressed up for Easter. We spent Easter morning at church and then went to Uncle Brian & Aunt Angie's for Easter lunch/dinner. And of course the kids had a great time!

PE Teacher

Yesterday I had my first day at my new job.  I don't have any pictures.  I was hired as a PE teacher at Summit Classical Christian School.  I will finish out the school year which means I only have 5 more weeks and at one day a week that means only five more sessions.

The first day was great.  A few little kinks but nothing that can't be worked out.  I love working with kids and love being active so it is a great fit for me, at least for now.

Egg Hunt #2

Our neighbor was gone for our first egg hunt so I said we would do another one for the younger kids.   They were all so excited to hunt for eggs and get more candy.

Egg Hunt #1

Once again I organized an egg hunt for the kids in our cul de sac. It is the best! I don't have to drive anywhere or fight other crazy parents who are trying to grab eggs for their kids.

Every kid gets a dozen eggs.   Then they go hunting.

The little kids have their egg hunt in the front yards....and the big kids have to wait patiently until all the eggs are found.

Then its the big kids turn.  We hid 120 eggs in our backyard and they were well hidden.   It took 30 minutes to get all the eggs.  I think the kids had fun and I did too.

The big and little kids.

Colt is running so fast, it's blurry.

The little kids getting ready.

More outtakes.

Spring Break

We went to our favorite place again. This time for Spring Break. We stopped at Cabela's on the way down which made for a longer trip, but also a little more pleasant to break it up.  I did a terrible job of taking pictures because sometimes that's just the way it is.

Vacation at its best.  Sleeping in.
(that's Brad and Bo.  Not me and Brad sleeping in)   Sleeping in for me is sleeping until 6:30.   Really, it is?   When it gets much later I can't stay settled.

Brody's friend, Vincent, lives on the street behind us.   We have gotten to know their family and his older sisters babysit sometimes.

They came out to the beach for one day and spent the night.
It was SO fun having all of them there.

They built a massive fort complete with giant holes, pallet bridges and fences.

More pictures to come.  But this was our first full day here....and also our sunniest day.

Decorating Eggs

I checked it off my list. We decorated some Easter Eggs. Ollie, Darby & Bo loved it. Colt & Brody were more interested in playing outside. That's a good thing, I suppose but also a sign of them growing up.

Nail Polish

Darby got some Shopkin nail polish from Papa Bob & Grandma Shari. She loves painting on her nail polish.

Discovery Playtown

My cousin, Carissa was on spring break so I sent her a message to see if she wanted to meet us at Discovery Playtown. I had heard good reviews of this place and it was in the middle of where we both lived.    The kids LOVED it and it was so fun to see Dallas, Carissa and Everett.

Darby loved the Salon.
And the grocery store.

Everett & Bo at the Cafe.

By far, Bo's favorite thing was the Animal Hospital.  He took great care of the dog, carrying it with him wherever he went.  He also took good care of the other animals.
