Tidepools & Games

Some of the unique things about this trip included the amazing view of the ocean and the tidepools. At first the kids weren't too excited about exploring the tide pools but they eventually warmed up to it and it was a fun activity for the day.

There was also some game playing with Bocce ball and a game the Hodo's introduced called Tidal Ball. Our tents were on the sand but the ocean sound made for a good night of sleep.

Shi Shi Beach

We went on our annual backpacking trip with the Hodo's and this time we went out to the Washington Coast.  We have been talking about doing this for a few years but it involves some planning as you need to get a permit and they only give out so many.  Thankfully we were on top of it this year and made our trek out to Shi Shi Beach.

The trail was about 2 miles and parts of it were very muddy.  Then we hiked on the beach another two miles until we found a good spot for our tents.

Disneyland

Since Darby's team didn't make it to the championship they ended up having a day before they had to fly home.  Christina did all the planning to help them have a fun day at Disneyland (this included some fast passes and getting them to the park as early as possible).

And yes I was sitting at home very jealous they were running around Disney, but I'm glad they were able to go.

Marymoor Concert

I did a few fun things while Brad, Darby and Bo were gone including happy hour with my friend Sarah. The next day Brad had been offered tickets to a show at Marymoor Park. Brody & Ollie decided they didn't want to go after all and Colt was still traveling back from Spokane. So, I asked Sarah to go with me. She was up for the adventure and we had such a great time even though we didn't know their music all that well.

Spokane Baseball Trip

While Darby was in California, Colt and I were in Spokane watching Colt's team play in a "state" tournament. It was an interesting weekend but overall I had a fun time. Colt was with his teammates most of the time so I had a lot of time with the other moms. Mostly in the pool.

After their tournament, Colt went with a few teammates to Coeur D'Alene to do some fishing. These were a few of the pictures.
