Rainy Day

Brad and I were talking about how we wanted to spend our Saturday. It was pretty nice out so we decided we wanted to do something outside and not spend the entire day playing with our newly acquired Thomas the Train tracks.

After the boys got up from their naps we put on their gear and headed outside. We opened the garage door and within two minutes the rain started coming down. Brad and I just looked at each other and decided to let the boys play in the rain. We stayed in our nice dry garage and watched as the boys got soaked.

It was also exciting because there was thunder and lightning.

Here are a few videos. In the 2nd one you can hear the thunder. Brody's a little scared.

Here are a few videos of Brody singing a song about the rain. (He likes to make up his own songs)

Another first date

It's that time of year again. The date, April 19th, when Brad and I religiously celebrate our first date anniversary.

We brought Brody & Colt down to Papa Bob & Grandma Shari's. Our friends Jami & Cory were so great and watched Ollie for us.

We went to Duke's where we ordered the same thing we usually get. Brad had a salad and chowder and I had their fish tacos.

After our dinner we rushed over to Bellevue to the Lincoln Square Cinemas. This theater is great because the seats are so comfortable. We watched the movie Date Night. (It's probably a good movie for Netflix but it was still nice to actually go to a movie together)

I got a great picture of Brad with bread in his mouth. But I still love him!

Mariners Opening Day

Brad joined some of his friends for Mariner's Opening Day. I have gone with him before but it seemed like too much work with Ollie and the other boys. So I suggested he take Brody instead. I'm not sure who had more fun, Brad or Brody.

Brody in his baseball outfit. Brad went to Target to buy him this Mariners shirt and hat. (Brad is good at spoiling his kids. I would have just dressed him in Mariners colors and called it good) We had some hand me down baseball pants that actually fit him....well they were a little big.

Brad and Brody outside Safeco Field. (These pictures are from Brad's phone so they aren't as clear)

It was a fun surprise for Brody to see Grammy & Fafa there. Brad said it would have been a little more challenging if there weren't so many friends around entertaining Brody. A 3 year old attention span doesn't last too long at a Mariners game.

Spring Blossoms

We love our house! There are so many great things about it and this beautiful tree is one of them. I love to look out our back window and see this big gorgeous tree in bloom. It reminds me how very lucky we are to be living in this house.

My 3 Sons

Sometimes I am still amazed that I have 3 boys! I'm so lucky!

I was finally able to take a picture of all 3 of them. I know there are a lot of pictures but they were all so cute!

Working with the Gator

The other day we had our lawn thatched to get out all of the moss that seems to be growing in our grass. After thatching it we had to rake it all up. It's quite a job so we decided to put the boys to work.

Brody did such a great job helping and was able to use his John Deere Gator. He would load up the back of the gator with the grass and then drive to the other side of the yard. He was so focused and so proud of himself for doing this.

We always put our boys in helmets when they are outside. It protects their heads.

Colt actually did a little work too.

A few pics from Ollie at about 5 weeks.

A little tummy time which he doesn't seem to mind.

Foxy Pajamas

Brody & Colt have spent some time down at my parents house. Once when Ollie was born and then again for a few nights so that I could get some extra rest. Whenever they go down there they seem to come back with extra clothes. (I think it's my moms way of giving them clothes without having to give them as a gift) With 8 grandsons she has lots of clothes around the house. We always love the stuff she sends with the boys.

A few weeks ago I was putting Brody to bed and he wanted his race car pajamas. These have footies on them and he no longer likes feet on his pajamas so I knew he wouldn't last long in them. Sure enough after 10 minutes of being in bed he wanted to change into other pajamas. I told him he had to find another pair. A few minutes later he came out with these pajamas. I looked at them and saw that they probably wouldn't fit him. I told him he could wear them but they were probably a little too small.

A few minutes later he said "Look mom...they do fit....they do fit. These are my foxy pajamas!"

He refers to them as his foxy pajamas because they have moose and foxes on them.

Brothers on the Gator

It was a beautiful day last weekend so we decided to get the John Deere Gator out.

The boys loved riding in it.

Brad made sure that they were nice and safe with their helmets.

More visitors

Our friends from church came to visit and help. Rachael has been a great help and she has two adorable children who wanted to hold Ollie.

Sharing cars

One of the first questions people ask is "How are Brody and Colt adjusting to Ollie?"

They are both doing great and Colt loves sharing his toys with Ollie. The other day he decided to share his cars with Ollie.

Balloons & Static

I really don't like balloons. They seem like such a safety hazard with kids or else they will pop and scare the kids.

When I decorated Brody's door for his birthday I blew up 4 balloons and they have survived these past few weeks.

Brad showed Brody how the balloon would stick to his hair with static.

Colt thought it was fun and wanted it stuck to his head too. (We had to hold it for him)

A few videos of the boys.

Brad's Vest

Brad had a skiing banquet to go to a few weeks ago. He was looking for an outfit to wear and brought out this vest. He was quite pleased with his outfit.

This is one of those times that I ask myself "Am I really married to this guy?"

Easter 2010

It took us awhile to finalize our plans for Easter. In fact we didn't make a decision until Easter morning. We had intentions to make it to church and then to drive out to Bainbridge Island but we were a little slow in making it to church. It seemed to take forever to get everyone ready. We finally made it out of the house and had a nice relaxing Easter at Grammy & Fafa's house.
