Service Project

Colt's preschool plans a service project every year. This year we teamed up with Children of the Nations. It was the perfect project for a family. Brad was at a track meet and I was able to get a friend to watch Darby & Ollie.

At first Brody didn't want to wear a hair net or an apron.  Once he learned about what we were doing he wanted to help out.   We put rice, lentils, a vegetable mix and protein powder into a bag, sealed it and then packaged it.  These are going to be shipped to various countries to help feed children.   It was a great way for my kids to be exposed to the need of other people.

I really hope we are able to do more things like this.

Colt & Brody took their job very seriously.  Once the food was put in the bags and weighed they were "runners" and brought the bags to the sealing table.

They both cried because they spilled some rice.  Once I assured them that was ok they were back to doing their job.   They can't wait to do it again.

A video of Brody in action.  He is at the table on the right.
