I have been reading a book about raising boys and one of the ideas it consistently talks about is the need for boys to be outside for many different reasons. I LOVE being outside when its not too cold and not too hot. It is also a little challenging taking all 3 outside when Ollie just wants to crawl around on the ground.
Colt wanted to go outside so I let him but told him he had to stay in the backyard. Brody soon followed him. It was actually very nice because I was able to stay in my house and watch the boys play. It is a bitter sweet feeling watching them gain independence.
They were playing with puddles and rocks and didn't have a mom telling them what they could and couldn't do.
