The morning of 4th of July we went to a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the nearby fire station at Lake Limerick. The breakfast was delicious.
The kids got to check out the fire truck.
Darby didn't want to sit in it.
After breakfast we walked down to our parade spot.
During this time Brad decided to take Colt back to the fire station to see if they had any ointment for a bug bite he had scratched open. When Brad showed it to the firefighters they told him he should immediately take him to the ER. So Brad and Colt missed out on the morning festivities. Thankfully I had good friends who were able to help with the other kids.
Colt ended up being ok. They wrapped his bite up so he wouldn't scratch it and he was prescribed some antibiotic ointment.
Back to the parade.
It was VERY short, but there was LOTS of candy so the kids were happy.
