Ladies weekend

Somehow I was able to pull off a ladies weekend with my soccer friends.  (It seems like there is never a perfect weekend to getaway so I just have to make it work) 

We have been doing this for 8 years (although I think we missed one year) and it is always such a great time.  It's a perfect combination of relaxing, hanging out, doing things and getting some rest.  This year we were able to stay at Heather's Orcas Island House.  (We have been here for soccer campouts and our own family trip). 

This year we also had a chance to volunteer at a trail race.   Something I have always wanted to do so doing it with friends and with no obligations to get back to was the perfect scenario. 

We finished this 1500 piece puzzle with 15 minutes to spare.  That was intense. 

A-team Dance

The kids found my phone and started taking pictures and a video of a dance they did to the A-team theme song. 

So silly. 

 

Bowl Hair Cut

 Bo's hair is getting long.  It's getting in his eyes and even though it didn't bother him it was bugging me.  So I cut it.  Not very well.   

We might be fixing it up soon.   But maybe not. 

5th child problems. 

Date #4

I convinced our friend Ed to come over and hang out with the kids so Brad and I could go out on a date. 

We went to Coho Cafe then we went to Value Village where we did some shopping. 

After Value Village we went to Starbucks to finish off our date.   

It wasn't super fancy but it was some great time together. 

 

Date #3 - Tasty Waves

Brad and I had our 3rd date of #januarydatenights. There are a few bands in our neighborhood and one of them was having a benefit concert to raise money for Mitochondria research. It was nearby at the Vasa Park building. 

We went out to dinner at Outback (Thanks to the gift cards we had) and then went to the concert where we got to do my favorite thing.....dance! 

I love dancing with this guy and glad he will dance with this crazy dancing queen.  

 

Drawing Tigers

Bo's friend came over and they started coloring pictures of Tigers. At first I drew the Tigers but then I convinced them to let me print a picture so they could color. My drawing skills are a little rough so that worked out better for all of us. 

Morning Runs

I am so lucky to have some friends to run with in the morning, especially my good friend Jen. We took a picture a week or so ago because it was just so beautiful.
