Bus Stop Shenanigans

A few weeks ago the kids started racing the bus down to the bus stop. Our stop is in the middle of small hill. The kids would run up to the top and as soon as the bus turned the corner they would run down. They even had other kids from the next bus stop come over to join them.

I'm sure you are wondering how many kids have done a face plant and I'm happy to report we have only had one incident and that was Bo.   He was just fine aside from his little ego being hurt.

Lewis Creek Park

We met up with Ganesa, Aspen and Brighton at Lewis Creek Park. She was able to get a few cute pictures.

Blue Dinosaur

I love that my kids still want to play with sidewalk chalk. Well at least the little ones do. And they get excited about all the things we can create like this blue dinosaur. Bo loved it!

Alki Field Trip

I was fortunate to join Colt on his class field trip to Alki beach. I went here with Brody's class two years ago and absolutely loved it. I remember telling myself that I would try to go every time there was a field trip to Alki.

We had beautiful weather. In fact it was in the 90s but thankfully there was a nice breeze from the water that made it absolutely perfect.

I had a group of 3 boys and we did lots of exploring.

More Michigan Boys

The Michigan boys decided they would leave around noon on Tuesday. I decided to let Brody & Colt stay home for a few hours so they could hang out with them a little more. It was such a great decision. They had a great time playing soccer and kickball before they had to go to school.

I took a few pictures before they left.  Each kid had one boy that they kind of became buddies with.

All the kids LOVE Chase!

I was so thankful for this time with these young men.  They were kind, thoughtful, considerate, easy-going, helpful and played hard with our kids.  Brody even said "mom, they are SOOOOO nice".  What an excellent example of what my boys can be like as they get older.   I was also encouraged by the idea of having people stay with us on such short notice.  I stress about the house being clean, having a guest bedroom and things to be perfect.  But they weren't and no one cared and it was wonderful.   I do hope they come by again but I also hope we can see Chase and his family soon.
