Our favorite girl turned 4 on Monday!

She has been so excited to turn 4 and we started her day off with donuts.

And a few presents....

Harvey Manning Statue

On our walk from basketball to the pizza party the kids found a statue. They also wanted a picture. Bo didn't want in it because he was too scary.

Black Bombers

Brody played basketball on the Black Bombers and Brad was the coach for the 3rd year in a row along with his assistant Erik.  It has been fun watching Brody play and Brad coach the team.

Brad can be a little intense and demanding of his players (extra practices) but it paid off with an undefeated season.  The last game of the season was against the other team from his school.  They had only one loss on the season.

The Black Bombers took an early lead but later in the game the other team caught up and even went ahead by 2 points.  But Brody and his team were able to pull off the victory (and made this momma very proud).

Brody is in blue.  He is to the left of Purple #8.  Getting ready to set a pick.

You can kind of see his #1 jersey.

We had a pizza party afterwards!

A few videos of Brody.
We are so proud of this kid.

Water Pipes

They have been doing some work in our neighborhood on our gas lines. Replacing them, I think. It was finally our turn for our cul-de-sac.  It's fun to have the construction crew out there but after about 2 hours I would be happy if they left.   At least they are all VERY nice people.

I was sitting outside when I started to hear some commotion.  One guy was yelling at another and I knew something was up.  That's when I saw water gushing up out of the hole they had just filled.

Long story...
...the water pipe broke.

They called in the city and they got to work fixing it which meant we had no water for 3 or 4 hours.   Brad and I are still surprised how many times our kids had to go to the bathroom in that short amount of time.

Thankfully our water is back and yet another reminder of how fortunate we are to live where we do.

The trucks blocked our driveway so we couldn't go anywhere, but they also provided some great entertainment.

Ollie's Fun Run

Ollie had his fun run in the afternoon while the rest of the school had it in the morning. I also wasn't able to go to this but another mom sent some pictures.

I don't know how many laps Ollie had but I'm pretty sure he had the most high fives in all of the grades...if they are counting that.

Such a cute picture of him "in the air" during his run.

Brody did not participate because he was home sick.  He was so bummed to be missing out on this fun event at school.

Colt's Fun Run

The school had an Orange Ruler fun run.  It was scheduled for last week but with the rain storm they postponed it a week and we had some glorious weather.

I was unable to go but Colt's teacher sent some pictures.

Colt is in the front on the right.  He told us he ran 18 laps....and it was the most in his class...but not the most in 1st grade.  It's funny what they know and remember.

Colt is in the back left.

Colt carrying his class sign.  It always makes me so proud when I see Colt with a "job" like this.  He is quiet and so I don't expect him to take on tasks like this.  And I don't know if he asks or if his teacher just picks him but either way I am proud of him.

Zootopia

Ollie wanted to change his birthday to March 4th since that was the day Zootopia was coming out in theaters.  He thought he would miss it until we explained that it would be in theaters for a little while.  So we found a day that worked (sunday afternoon) and invited Andrew and his friend Ryder to join us.   Abi also came which put our count up to 7 kids (Bo stayed with a friend).   Thankfully Brad and Angie came so it was more than manageable.

The kids had fun and it was a great way to celebrate Ollie's birthday.

These seats were as cozy and comfortable as they look.  I can't wait to go back and take a nap.
