Colt's Fun Run

The school had an Orange Ruler fun run.  It was scheduled for last week but with the rain storm they postponed it a week and we had some glorious weather.

I was unable to go but Colt's teacher sent some pictures.

Colt is in the front on the right.  He told us he ran 18 laps....and it was the most in his class...but not the most in 1st grade.  It's funny what they know and remember.

Colt is in the back left.

Colt carrying his class sign.  It always makes me so proud when I see Colt with a "job" like this.  He is quiet and so I don't expect him to take on tasks like this.  And I don't know if he asks or if his teacher just picks him but either way I am proud of him.

Zootopia

Ollie wanted to change his birthday to March 4th since that was the day Zootopia was coming out in theaters.  He thought he would miss it until we explained that it would be in theaters for a little while.  So we found a day that worked (sunday afternoon) and invited Andrew and his friend Ryder to join us.   Abi also came which put our count up to 7 kids (Bo stayed with a friend).   Thankfully Brad and Angie came so it was more than manageable.

The kids had fun and it was a great way to celebrate Ollie's birthday.

These seats were as cozy and comfortable as they look.  I can't wait to go back and take a nap.

Colt's basketball

Colt had his last basketball game on saturday and it was the first time I actually got some pictures and videos (yes, lame, but he has only had 6 games, he missed 2 and I missed another one so I have only seen three games and when I say see that means about 5 minutes as I'm managing other little munchkins)

Colt had three of his players missing so Brad (the coach) just told Colt to shoot and not to worry about making passes or any type of play.  Well, shoot he did....and scored.... a LOT.  It was fun to watch!   We are so proud of Colt for his hard working attitude.

NOTE:  Managing kids  (the little guy in the background is my cousin's son...not a clear picture)

These videos are just the best.... I could watch them over and over again.

Party at the Park

I decided to throw together a simple, last minute party for Ollie's kindergarten class. I also brought cupcakes to celebrate Ollie's birthday (and I also insisted on NO presents as it was very informal and just a fun gathering with his friends) We were really lucky with the weather and had sun for most of the time.

The kids all had a super fun time and I think the moms enjoyed hanging out with each other too.  We hope to do it again without having a birthday party as an excuse.

Our bus stop is the first stop and usually has only two kids.  This time there were 11.  The bus driver was a little surprised.

Singing happy birthday to Ollie.

Donuts & Presents

Ollie turned 6! So hard to believe!

We started the morning off with donuts and presents.

That was just the beginning of a fun day of celebrating!

Batting Practice

Bo likes to bat. And I think he has a pretty good swing. We will see if anything comes of it.

Sounders Opening Day

The Sounders had their opening day on Sunday. We weren't able to get a babysitter (plus Bo had a cold and was extra needy). So Brad took Ollie to the game.

Unfortunately the Sounders lost 0-1. Better luck next time.

At least Ollie is still smiling.
