Super Bowl 50

I'm still sad that we weren't watching the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. But I have to admit it made for a much more relaxing and less stressful game. I was cheering for the Broncos, but honestly I thought they would get crushed by the Panthers so the outcome of the game was WAY better than I imagined. I probably still would have stressed a little bit if the game was closer.

First a picture from years ago, 18 to be exact, when I cheered for the Broncos with my college roommates, both from Colorado.

(I honestly can't really remember who the other people are
except for Tim who is standing behind me)

We went to Scott Wood's house for the Super Bowl Party.  This is becoming a fun tradition for us.  There really isn't much for the kids to do, except eat food.   So I took them outside to run around a little. I decided to snap a few pictures.

After the Broncos win.

I'm still hoping for the Seahawks to return to next years Super Bowl.  Until then I'm not sure what we are going to do on our Sundays.

Hot Tub

This was a favorite place at the condo for the kids, especially Ollie, Darby and Bo. If Hot tubs didn't have a time limit we would still be there.

Skiing

On Sunday Brad took Brody and Colt skiing for most of the day. I joined them for about an hour before the lifts closed.  The boys had so much fun and loved giving me pointers when I joined them.

I took the other kids out in the snow.

Colt is in the orange jacket.

Condo fun

My friend let us stay in her condo up at Snoqualmie Pass. We went up on Friday evening.  We didn't get to ski and instead settled into the cabin.

Saturday morning Brad took Brody & Colt out to ski.  I stayed back with the other three.   I got them dressed in their winter gear and let them play in the snow.

We didn't last long in the snow (well at least Bo didn't) so we went back inside.  Thankfully the condo has a hot tub and a game room.  So we hung out in both of those places.

Brody & Colt both had basketball games so Brad drove them back down to play in their games.  I stayed at the condo with the other three.   It was a very low key, somewhat relaxing day.

Kleenex Box

Brody had a runny nose last week. He decided it was easier to just sleep with the kleenex box.

Date Night #5 - Dance Lessons

One of the great things about doing January date nights is its a long month so we can squeeze in 5 dates but if we only get 4 in then that works too. Thankfully this year we were able to get 5 date nights.  Our last date night was a dance lesson at Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

We went out to dinner then headed over to our dance lesson.

It was a lot of fun.  We were laughing most of the time because it really was just such a fun time for both of us.   I am not sure what the instructor thought but he was laughing too.  (maybe at us?)

The only downside is that I could have danced for many more hours but they kicked us out after 30 minutes.   As part of our "introductory special" we get one more private lesson and one more group lesson.  We are looking forward to it.
