More Baseball

More baseball fun with the cousins.
I never like to wish away the years but it is nice that the kids are at an age where they can play games like this.  We are still working on being good winners and losers.  At least we can practice with our cousins.

Redondo Aquarium

While we were camping at Papa Bob's we took a trip down to the Redondo Aquarium. Darby was taking a nap back at the campground and Aunt Jenny stayed behind.

Papa Bob Campground

Our original plan was to use Papa Bob's trailer and camp at Saltwater State Park. A week before there were still RV spaces left but when I went to make a reservation two days before it was all booked up.

We decided to still "camp" in the trailer....while it was parked at Papa Bob's house.

We made S'mores.

It had actually rained so Brad and Brody were warming their backsides up since they sat in wet chairs.

All 4 kids slept in the sleeping area.   I ended up moving Brody into bed with Brad and then I slept on this part with the other 3.  I was worried about Darby falling off the bed.

We woke up and had lattes and a yummy breakfast.  We were "camping" in luxury.

It was a good "test run" since we plan on using the camper again in a few weeks. (but not parked at Papa Bob's house)

Cousin Week

The cousins came from Colorado to visit.  It is always a very busy, chaotic and fun time.

A few on the couch.

Brody's iPOD

Somehow Brody got it in his head that he wanted an Ipod. I think he saw Aunt Jenny's and knew it had games on it. We told him if he really wanted it he would have to save his money to buy it. When I discussed it with Brad he reminded me that he had an Ipod that he only used once or twice. So he offered to sell it to Brody for $25.00.

Brody:  Ok, Dad, how much for your iPod?
Brad:  $25.00
Brody:  Let's settle on 23.
Brad:  Nope
(Brad vs. Brad Jr)

Brody counted up his money and was a few dollars short.  He asked Brad if there was anything he could do to earn more.  Brody spent some time pulling weeds in our backyard and later had his own iPod.  It had to be charged over night but the next morning he was thrilled that he had something he bought with his own money.

He even told Brad "This is way cooler than I thought."

We couldn't keep the ear phones out of his ears and we couldn't stop him from singing.

Hanging with Jaxon

My cousin Kristi came over with her little guy Jaxon. It has been way too long since we have seen them. Jaxon is 5 weeks younger than Darby.  It was fun watching them "play" together.   Jaxon is such a cutie and so sweet and mellow (like his mom!).

The hardest part was getting them both to sit still for a picture.
