When we were at the Home Depot workshop we saw Aunt Angie, Abi & Andrew. Angie told me she was going to take the kids to the Salmon Days Parade and invited us to join her. My first reaction was "no way am I going to take all four kids by myself to the parade". (Brad was still at cross country practice). But then I thought if I could find a parking spot close enough I would do it. Well I found a parking spot that was very accessible and right across the street from the parade.
Overall it was a fun time. The parade did last a little longer than I thought it would but the kids all did a great job. (I admit to giving them some candy, especially Ollie, to help pass the time.
Darby was tired but did finally fall asleep in the stroller.
Go Seahawks!
Brody was the ultimate parade watcher. He said hi and waved to just about everyone in the parade. Ollie was pretty quick to follow his lead, except when he wanted more candy from me.
Brody liked this old John Deere "johnny popper".
The boys danced to all the music, even the marching bands.
Brad does not really like the Salmon Days Parade because it usually means some of his cross country runners are in it ...and missing practice. But we were there to cheer for the Saints.
I am glad we went but next time I will plan for a long parade (and bring water and snacks).
