Last weekend Brody was lucky enough to spend the weekend with Grammy & Fafa. Or maybe they were lucky to spend the weekend with him. Or maybe we were lucky to have a weekend with only one child. I really do get a little sad when I don't spend time with Brody. He is at such a fun age and is such a good little boy that it brings us great joy to spend time with him. It's hard to share, but we know that it brings others (especially grandparents) great joy as well so we are happy to share Brody.
I have only heard various stories about different things that Brody did with Grammy & Fafa. I know Brody picked strawberries....
Went to the park....
played with tinker toys....(and Fafa built a Ferris Wheel)
and went to the beach.
We are so thankful for such wonderful and loving grandparents (on both sides of our family). Brody LOVES them! Thanks Grammy & Fafa!
I was finally able to get Brody to sing for the camera.

We are in the process of moving a dresser into Brody's room and decided to break down Brody's crib and put him in a big boy bed. We were a little unsure as to when we should do this because the crib has been working so nicely. He has only attempted to climb into it once and has never tried climbing out of it. We were also a little nervous about the transition but have found it to be absolutely easy. Brody loves his new bed. We are still waiting for the dresser so right now there is lots of room for his toys.

Here is a quick video of Brody helping with the garbage can. He would have walked to the next neighborhood pulling it if we had let him. He is so serious whenever he is doing work.
Brad and I decided that Colt is officially crawling. He went up on all fours and went forward about 4 "steps." We know that it means a much busier time now but we are also excited to watch Colt chase after his big brother. I don't have any video yet but here are some cute pictures.
Today we had our cousin Abi and friend Gunnar over to play. They played in the pool and ran around the yard stopping briefly to eat lunch. Brody and Abi both came inside and I found them sitting on the couch (after they had removed all the pillows) reading a book together. I was sneaky enough so they couldn't see me recording their conversation. I'm not sure what they say every time but I do know that Brody loves ants.
The book they are reading is a big book of colors with lots of different pictures on it.
A few weeks ago we spent the day with Papa Bob & Grandma Shari. It has been awhile since we have been there since they have been remodeling their kitchen. It's not finished yet but it's finished enough for us to hang out there. It was a beautiful Saturday and we mostly stayed outside. Papa Bob & Grandma Shari's house is a kid's paradise. With a big backyard and plenty of toys there is always something for kids to do and Brody & Colt LOVED it.

Colt in the jeep. He absolutely LOVED this and stayed in it for at least 20 minutes. (Notice Grandma Shari's tractor in the background...Brody rode on this a few times too but I didn't take a picture).
