Our first day in Glacier was a big learning curve for us. It was SO crowded but we also had very limited access in our RV. It was probably the most disappointing thing about our trip but in all our travels we have learned to come up with alternative plans and we are good about rolling with it.
We were able to use the park shuttles but it was a long wait. We originally were going to go to Avalanche Lake but when we were about to get on they said we would have to wait for the next bus and we were just tired of waiting, so we got on the shuttle that was immediately available and went to Logan's Pass. I'm so glad we stumbled into this decision because it was amazing.
You drive along the Going to the Sun road which prohibits vehicles longer than 21 feet. But the views were amazing.
Once we got to the top we hiked to Hidden Lake. It was a very busy but beautiful hike. The only problem with this was I did not pack a lunch and we quickly went through all the snacks in my backpack so we opted to not hike all the way down to the lake. Maybe next time.
We saw a mountain goat along the trail and Bo took his selfie with the goat.
We also learned that we missed seeing the mama bear and her cub by about 15 minutes.
It was a great first day in the park!
