Orcas Island

The boys had spring break and we were hoping to get out to Moclips. But our plans didn't quite work since Brad was only able to get a few days off of work. We had to think about what other options we might have...and I was anxious to get out of town for a few days, mostly because it would help break up a long week at home.  

While we were racking our brains, it hit me.  Let's ask Mike & Heather if we can use their Orcas Island "cabin".  Brad sent Mike an email and they were more than excited to have us.  

We had a blast! Plus, it was fun to have a different adventure for our family.  

We left early Sunday morning and stayed until Wednesday morning.  Sunday, we just hung around the "cabin".   Monday we found a beach.

We have been watching a show called Dual Survival which follows two guys in a made up (but very possible) survival situation.   Brad watched a new method for making fire so he set out to make a fire at the beach.
