Backpacking

We had our annual backpacking trip with the Hodo family. We were already to go but made a last minute decision to cancel the hike and instead spend the weekend at the Hodo's. (There was a lot of rain in the forecast for the first night and while we have rain gear it didn't sound like the most pleasant experience. There was also a chance of thunderstorms and we weren't able to have a fire.) 

 

It was still a very fun weekend.  We spent a lot of time fishing.  (not Janelle but everyone else). 

 

Pulled teeth

Bo had to get two teeth pulled. He was a trooper. 

 

He was a little woozy but also so sweet and so cute.  

 

Go Sounders!

We have squeezed in a few Sounders games. 

 

Unfortunately, they lost. 

 

One more driver

 Colt was very anxious to get his license.  In fact he had his written test on Saturday when we got back from Moclips and as soon as he passed we were able to schedule the drive test for the next day.  He had to pack up his backpacking gear because he left from his test to go backpacking.  A few days later we were able to get his license.  He is very happy. 

Birthday Backpacking Trip

As soon as we got home from Colt was anxious to go backpacking again. This time he went with his friend Tanner. I wasn't quite as worried because they decided to go to the same place so at least Colt knew where to go and how long and hard the hike would be. I did get nervous when we had a very quick rain storm but it missed them.  However, the day they were scheduled to come back the rain moved in and got them packing up quickly.   A bummer to end their trip early but they had a blast and survived.

Golf Tourney

Bo had a golf tournament after our trip to Moclips. We signed him up so he could be with his buddy Finn.

 

It was a fun experience for him.  

Brad got to be the scorekeeper.
