Blue Skies

I am still working on my skiing. Sometimes I am discouraged by my lack of progress and other times I feel like I am getting better and maybe my kids will hang with me on the slopes.

The other day I went with my friend Rene during the day.  We found beautiful blue skies.   A great day for skiing!

Double Date

We went out on a double date with our friends, Dan & Jen. It was quite a miracle to find an evening where we both didn't have something going on. But we are also at the stage where we don't have to find babysitters to get away.

We went to the Social Forum House in Bellevue where they have food a miniature golf course.  We ate some dinner then played 9 rounds of golf.

Brad and Dan tied for the best score and Jen and I were behind them.

Stilts

When I'm not traveling or skiing I do get to sub at the kid's school.   (I actually have to say no to them quite a bit).   The other day I was the PE teacher so I snapped this picture of Darby walking on stilts.

Action Shot

I love this action shot another parent took of Darby playing basketball.

Ethan's party

Ollie was invited to Ethan's birthday party. This involved a night away near Leavenworth at their family cabin.  As you can tell from the pictures I was sent, they had a great time playing in the snow and hanging out with each other.   (And I'm thankful for Ollie's broncos sweatshirt because it is easy to see him).

Dad Time

While I was visiting the happiest place on earth, Brad was managing all the things at home.  The kids are at school most of the day and they are pretty independent but it is still quite a lot coordinating all the practices and activities.

They had a great time, especially when Brad took them to Fatburger after basketball.

Some pictures of the kids sleeping.

Em-Eye-See, Kay-EE-Why

The next morning we woke up early again to get their for early entry. We rode Space Mountain 3 times, then went to Matterhorn and Big Thunder Mountain before getting our breakfast and Starbucks. We went on the Jungle Cruise and listened to all the silly puns and jokes.

We went on the Storybook Land ride and while we were waiting I noticed the line for pictures with Mickey.  I couldn't resist.  The line wasn't very long so we waited and got our pictures with Mickey, Donald and Goofy.

After Disneyland we went back over to California Adventure.  We went on a few more rides, including the Radiator Springs Racers and the Incredicoaster.....so much fun!!!   While we were there Nicole texted that her and Luca decided to go to Disneyland for the day.   We met them at the Mater ride and went on with them.

After Mater we went to the Pixar Pier and rode the carousel.  Sarah wasn't too excited about the idea so we decided to go in the line with the stationary buckets and I'm so glad we chose those because it still felt a little wobbly.

The whole trip was wonderful!   It has given me Disney fever and I'm jealous of Nicole who has an annual pass and can go way more often than me.  But I am very thankful for this fun trip and memory I had with Sarah.
