Boston Market

In my research one of the recommended things was to go to the Boston Market.  Brad was so excited about this idea because he has some great memories of eating at Boston Market, including Thanksgiving with his brother.    Brad thinks this is the best fast food restaurant. 

On our way to the RV park from the game we were able to find one.  

We loaded up on some yummy food and even had leftovers for the next night.   

Pesky pole

One top of our epic experience at Fenway park we also were able to witness a Mariners victory plus a Mariners player hitting a homerun over the "Green Monster".  It was such a fun day! 

Uncle Brian wanted us to get a picture of the "Pesky Pole".   

We actually saw a handful of Mariner's fans so it was always fun to say "Go Mariners!" when we walked by.   These 3 guys saw our kids and started fisting their pumps as they walked back to their seats.  They would turn around and find our kids and do it again.  This went on for a long time until we could barely see where they sat down.  

Then as we were leaving the game we saw them getting ready to eat so we took a picture with them. 

7th inning stretch

Before the 1st inning was over we heard a little voice saying he was hungry.   🤣

And then there were a few more voices.  We told them after the 3rd inning was over we would go see what our options were.  I sent Brad with the kids. 

Everyone got ice cream except for Ollie who grabbed a bag of peanuts. 

This kept them happy for a few more innings. 

Thank goodness for the 7th inning stretch and dancing music to keep some of us more entertained. 

Play Ball

Our seats weren’t the best but we were so thankful we had tickets.   With COVID restrictions they only let so many people into the stadium and the fact that we were 7 of them was amazing.   We also kept reminding the kids (and myself) that this is a bucket list item for so many people and now they can always say they have seen a game at Fenway Park. 

Pregame

A few of the nice things about our time at Fenway Park were we actually had time to walk around.  When we do professional sports games at home we are always in a rush to get to the game on time and in a rush to get back home.  

Also, due to COVID restrictions they only let so many people into the park so it was not crowded at all.  It was nice to walk around with all our kids and not worry about the crowds.  

Fenway Park

After New York our next destination was Boston.  We found an RV park about 50 minutes south of the city.  Brad had been texting with his brother about our whereabouts and that's when we learned that the Mariners were playing the Boston Red Sox this weekend.  Brad asked me to see if we could find some tickets.   I looked and if we made it there on Friday (which would have been a challenge) we could get them for about $70 a piece.   If you do the math x 7 it's not cheap.   The tickets for saturdays game were more than twice that and the tickets for Sunday's game were similar to Friday.  But Sunday had rain in the forecast.  So, on to plan B or so I thought.  Brad texted a friend of his (former professional baseball player) and Friday night it was confirmed that we had tickets to the saturday baseball game at Fenway Park.  Our next challenge was trying to figure out how we were going to park downtown.  

We decided to go in as early as possible so we went down around 9:30.   We ended up finding a spot just a few blocks from Fenway Park.  It wasn't a cheap spot but it made Brad very happy. 

Since we left early we hadn't really eaten breakfast so we stopped to eat before the game.  It was nice and sunny so it was an enjoyable time eating and we didn't feel rushed. 

Window Washers

Almost every  time we get into the RV and start driving Brad makes a comment about the windows.  We always have an intention of cleaning them but then it doesn’t happen.  Brad decided to enlist some help in the hopes of getting them to do it in the future.
