Virtual Halloween Parties

Teachers are the best! During this crazy time they are working really hard to make events like Halloween fun for the kids even if it is done virtually. The three younger ones got dressed in their costumes and "went" to school.

Pajama Day

It was Pajama Day at school. The kids put their bath robes on and we also had some hot apple cider in coffee mugs.

 

Crazy Hair Day

The kids had Crazy Hair Day at "virtual" school and we actually remembered. So they quickly decided on their hairstyles and we made it happen. Bo's lasted about 10 minutes and then he was done with it. Darby's and Ollie's lasted a bit longer but they didn't make it to lunch time.

Darby's is supposed to be a donut on a plate but I didn't get a very good picture. 

 

Mt. Catherine

Last week I texted my friend (Kelly) to see if she wanted to go hiking with me. She is trying to get 52 hikes in this year and she is only 9 away so I thought she would be willing to go with me. 

 

Our original plan was to go to Snow Lake but when we got there Search and Rescue had it closed (but we never found any information about what they were looking for so we think it may have just been a training).   Since Snow Lake was closed we went to Mt. Catherine which was only a few exits away.   After driving up a forest service road we parked and it wasn't too far from the parking lot where we were walking on snow.   

 

It was a great time and good for my soul.  

We didn't quite make it to the summit because it was really windy but we felt like we had hiked enough to make it worth our trip. 

 

Pinata

We were invited to Ellis' 3rd birthday party. Brody, Darby, Bo and I went down to celebrate. Joe was so excited about the Pinata he bought and the kids had fun hitting it. Brody was the last to go and he broke it open for all the candy, stickers and tattoos.
