Washoe Tournament

The kids really wanted to make sure we still had a Washoe tournament.  It ended up being on Sunday rather than Saturday. 

Ashley brought this Connect Four game which ended up being a hit with the kids. 

Colt & Zach ended up pulling out the victory.  It was a close contest with all the games. 

It seemed like there were still a lot of people even though this was a very small number.

 

The Ranger Station

We went down to the Ranger Station near Prineville for the annual Smith Family Reunion.  But this year was very different.  It was us and Doug's family.  

Even though it was different there were so many things that were familiar and normal.  It made for a great weekend!

1st day of crazy school

Well here we are.   The 2020-21 School year has started.  This was going to be my first year when all 5 of the kids were in school for the full day.  It's been 13 years since I have had a consistent chunk of time to myself but I guess it will have to wait a little longer.    Instead I get to be with these 5 sweethearts as we all navigate remote learning.   Yes, I have thought about doing my own homeschool stuff but I have decided we will give it a few weeks and see how it goes before making any bigger decisions.

Eagle Feeding

At the Hood Canal house there were two eagles that flew around the area.  We quickly learned that one of the Eagles had been trained to come down and eat some food.  Kathy would throw a piece of chicken up in the air and we watched it swoop down to grab it.  It was amazing!  

 

More Tubing

Our 2nd day the kids were able to go tubing again!  Lucky kids!  This time they went on a single tube that required them to lay flat.  Colt didn't want to go tubing because he was practicing his yo-yo tricks at the house.   But he joined later and went on the double one with Brody. 

 

American Ninja Warrior Run

Scott & Kathy set up an American Ninja Warrior course for the kids to try.   The best part about it was the buzzer but the kids had fun running the obstacle and trying to beat times.  Brad even took a few shots at it.  

 

Shuffleboard

Shuffleboard was probably our second favorite activity, behind inner tubing.  We also went in the Kayaks a little bit, although I wish we had done it even more. 

 

Scott & Kathy recommended a little hike behind their property.  We went on it for a little while but then it was starting to get dark.  We did get to sit on this bench and Brad took a picture.
