Resemblance?

We have always referred to Ollie as a mini Papa Bob. Brad has been asking if we could find pictures of Papa Bob when he was younger. So when we were down there we took out this picture and did a side by side shot with Ollie. 

Now I want to find more vintage pictures of Papa Bob. 

 

Joe's Soccer Camp

Jenny's family also came into town. 

The day after they got here we asked Joe to put on a soccer camp for the kids. 

He did a great job but the younger kids were quick to lose interest. 

 

Soccer training finished up with a fun soccer game. 

After soccer Uncle Butch & Aunt Delight came over.  It was great to see them and we also made sure we got a big group picture with all the kids.  

Go-Karts

We went up to Papa Bob & Grandma Shari's property with Gunner & Sayler. Papa Bob finally had the Go-Karts ready to go. 

We also did some more work on the bike track. 

 

And of course forced the kids to go on a little hike. 

Hanging out with G & S

The kids loved hanging out with Gunner & Sayler. Aside from playing video games, they also played Risk, soccer and did some painting. 

Gunner has been looking forward to a trip to Jamba Juice since the last time he came.

My sister has been planning to send Gunner to Papa Bob Summer camp. He came last year and had a blast. This year things are different and Jessi wasn't sure if he would still be coming. She finally decided to send him but then, of course, Sayler started wondering why she didn't get to come. So, a last minute decision turned into a fun surprise for Darby and the rest of the kids.   

(And we are fully aware that they are coming from the current hotspot of this craziness, but we know our risks and are trying to do the best we can while still savoring our family time.)

Playing some Risk

All they want is to match....more pictures coming. 

Fireworks!

We stayed up to watch the Fireworks at Lake Limerick. It's always SO loud. 

The next morning Brody went out on the paddle board.  This made him seem so big to me.

Last First

While we were at Lake Limerick we experienced one of our last firsts. 

 Bo lost his very first tooth!

If my memory is correct he was the oldest when he lost it. 

He was so excited and easily pulled it out.
