Snow Day #1

We were watching the weather forecast and noticed snow. Of course, I never try to get my hopes up. But Monday morning was magical, when the kids looked out the window and saw the ground covered in snow and then asked if they had school. It was a fun day of playing!

It wasn't sticking to the roads too much.

A few snowmen....one of which is falling over.

Pop-A-Shot

We had our 2nd date night.  We had plans to go to a Ping Pong place for beer and pizza but we discovered it was closed.  So, we decided to go to PF Chang's for dinner (neither of us had ever been) then we went back to the arcade to play some games, including Pop-A-Shot.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love our January Date Nights?

Haircut

Ollie said he wanted his hair cut. So Brad quickly got the clippers out before he changed his mind. We have nothing against his desire to have long hair but it drives us all a little bonkers when he is playing sports and it gets in his eyes.

Mommy/Daughter Date

Darby and I had our own little date. I let her pick what she wanted to do (within reason) and she chose Target.

It really took so much in me to say yes to this idea.  She checked out the toys, the clothes, the jewelry, and the crafts.  She wanted to buy it all.

It stretched me .... A LOT but it was also so good for me to see the world (of shopping) through her eyes.   Since the day she was born I knew God would be using her to help me learn and grow.

We loved our time together and Darby left Target with a few new clothing items.  (yes this is a shocker, even to me).

Spies in Disguise

Brad wanted to take the boys to the new Star Wars movie. Although Darby & Bo were begging to go we didn't think it would be good for them to see.  So we went to see Spies in Disguise instead.

It's fun to be able to do these things with the kids.

Painting Party

My friends from high school organized a painting night.  We met at Jessica's house and I brought Darby & Bo with me.  The boys had basketball games.

The young lady on the right is one of my friend's daughters who is a senior in high school. We still don't know how we are this old and at this stage of life.

The kids did some painting too.  (Darby's picture is actually my picture that I painted).

A quick gift exchange.

New Year's Eve

We finally decided to go to our friend's house for New Year's Eve.

The kids all played well together and Jen organized some Minute-to-win-it games.
