So much snow!

A few pictures from our friday night storm and all the snow it brought with it. 

Brad loves driving his jeep in the snow.  He found a Starbucks that was open and picked us up a few drinks. 

Some friends came over and brought their dog.  Darby had fun with him. 

Friday Snow

The forecast for snow last Friday said it was coming in around 2:00. So, the kids had a 2 hour early dismissal.  The forecast was spot on and I am so thankful the district arranged for an early release.  Unfortunately, the kids' bus got there late so it really only ended up being a one hour early release. 

Once the snow started falling it was so fun and beautiful. 

A friend brought me these tulips for an early birthday present.  I thought it was fun to look at them through the window with the snowfall in the background. 

The kids started playing and building a snow fort.  This snow was more wet than what we had earlier in the week so rolling up snow balls was very easy.

School Snow Days

Last week the kids had no school on Monday and Tuesday. Then they went to school an hour late on Wednesday but also had early dismissal because that is what they usually get on Wednesdays. On Thursday they had their only full day of school. Friday they went to school but they declared an early dismissal with the forecasted snow. This is a picture of my kids waiting for the bus. I told them how cold it was (less than 20 degrees) and still some decide to only wear shorts and a tshirt. At least I got Colt to wear a sweatshirt. 

Darby isn't pictured but she was there and dressed with pants and three layers on top. 

Sledding

Our neighbors are awesome and one of them always lets us led on her driveway.   

It isn't super fast but it is enough to make the kids happy. 

Snow & Hot Tubs

The kids played and played for our snow day.

Then they jumped in the hot tub.... and the snow.
