Thanksgiving

After our Turkey Trot we headed over to Bainbridge Island for Thanksgiving.  I don't know if I took any pictures but Brad got a few from his phone.

The day after Thanksgiving we went to a park in the morning.  Then we settled in to watch the Apple  Cup.

Eating yummy dessert at Grammy's house.

Halloween Gash

While the kids were trick or treating, Darby fell and got a gash in her head. Thankfully Brad and I were both with the kids, so I sent him to take Darby to Urgent Care. The gash wasn't too big so they only had to use glue to fix it.

Darby was a trooper through the whole thing.

Coach of the Year

These pictures were all from Brad's phone which is why they are a little delayed. Back on the first weekend of November, Brad took his boys cross country team and two of his girl runners to the State Meet.  One of his girls placed 3rd!

Then his boys ran.  Brad was hoping for a 4th place finish because that is what he thought they would realistically be able to do.

But there it is.....#2.   2nd place finish for his boys.
He was SO happy and excited.

Then a few weeks later....Brad found out he was the Coach of the Year.
No surprise here.

Tigers Cheer

I found these on Brad's phone. It's from Colt's last soccer game. (I wasn't there because I was sick)

Christmas Cookies

Since the boys had two days off of school for conferences I was trying to figure out how we were going to fill up our days. It was sunny outside but it was SO cold that it made it difficult to plan anything at a park.  My friend, Rachael, suggested cookie decorating at her house.

We had so much fun and it was a great way to spend part of our day.

We hope we can make it a tradition.

All the kids.

Snow Dance

They were predicting snow in the lowlands and I was pessimistic but trying my best to be optimistic with the kids. And there was a small part of me that thought maybe, just maybe the snow dance would actually work.

We wore our pajamas inside out and backwards, put a spoon under our pillows and taped a penny to the doors.   (It's from a book).

Despite 3 of my 5 putting forth a great effort we woke up to no SNOW.  We were all sad but I'm still doing dances, crossing my fingers and hoping for a good snow dump sometime this winter.  It's been too long since we have had one.

Hail.

It's been getting colder here with a few predictions of snow in the coming days. The kids were very excited when they saw HAIL coming down. It was the biggest hail I had seen and it actually lasted quite a long time. It also came at the same time Brad was up on a ladder hanging up our Christmas lights.

The kids even went out in the cul-de-sac to catch the hail coming down.
