Seahawk Buddies

It was Blue Friday and we were outside playing.

We noticed that Darby and our neighbor Kate were Seahawk twins.

Go Hawks!

The Ranger Station

We went on our annual Labor Day trip to the Ochoco Ranger Station. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I probably should have so this is all I have.

We took a few stops on our drive to and from.  It makes for a long trip.   We stopped in the middle of nowhere and made a track for the kids to run around.

Darby wanted to hold the leash for this dog.

A new attraction for this year was the zipline.

Ollie's favorite person at the Ranger Station was Kyle.

Bo LOVED the zipline and this was the last time Brad held on to him.  "Don't hold me dad.  I go by myself."

Playing Washoes.
Unfortunately this year no one in our family came home with the 1st place trophy.
Fafa and Abi did though.

We look forward to our time at the Ranger Station every single year.

Pop Wheelies

Look mom I can do a trick!

Just like that.  This girl!   We love her to pieces.

I baked some muffins last week and had a very eager helper. It makes more sense to turn down her request but it makes me happy to see her willing heart to help.

I told her to be careful not to make a mess but forgot to tell her that she doesn't need to fill the cups all the way.

Love this sweet helper.

4th, 2nd & 1st

When I had Brody I was a 4th grade teacher. Now Brody starts his 4th grade year.

With the craziness of summer I was slightly looking forward to the return of school, mostly for routine and a chance to run a few errands with only 2 kids in tow.   But as we started towards the bus this morning I was a little sad.   Sending my boys off to another year of school makes me anxious and excited for them.  We said a little prayer that they would be kind, thoughtful, a light to their classmates and a help to their teachers.  I know it won't always be perfect and easy for them and thats what makes it hard for me.

So here we go.....  4th, 2nd and 1st.

This girl

God knew what he was doing when he gave me a little girl. Sometimes I still don't know how I will handle this girl except with continuous prayer.   We love her confidence, bravery and independence but it makes me a nervous wreck.
